ALWAYS REBLOG WHEN YOU SEE SOMETHING LIKE THIS PLEASE; ITS SO MUCH MORE THAN IMPORTANT TO PEOPLE. IT MEANS EVERYTHING TO SOMEBODY AND EVEN THOUGH YOU MIGHT NOT SEE THIS IN THE SAME LIGHT, SOMEONE MIGHT. INFACT YOU REBLOGGING THIS COULD STOP SOMEONE TAKING THEIR LIFE TONIGHT.
I noticed there isn’t one here for Ireland, so
Irish free suicide helpline: 01-116 123
last time i reblogged this, i got this ask:
so please, please reblog. this could actually save a life.
@everyone
I've said this before and I'm gonna say it again but you're not goth/punk/alternative If you're not a kind person. Miss me with the "I want everyone to suffer and die" bullshit. If you don't bring kindness into this world you're just a clown with edgy clothes. Prove me wrong.
See that picture above? That’s a close up of my great grandmother’s immigration papers when she first came to the US back in the early 20th century. But my great grandma’s information isn’t the important part here. The important part is that line in the middle there about how they arrived in the country.
And how ‘stowaway’ is a legitimate, valid option to select.
So yeah. They absolutely just showed up, and that part of immigration history needs to be talked about a lot more.
REMINDER THAT TRAVEL VISAS AS WE KNOW THEM TODAY WERE INVENTED IN THE 1930S TO KEEP JEWISH REFUGEES OUT OF COUNTRIES THAT DID NOT WANT AN ‘INFLUX’ OF THEM, THEREBY FACILITATING THEIR GENOCIDE :)))))
read What is A Refugee for more history. Educate yourselves.
Morning After Pill for HIV
I think that people forget that condoms protect you from more than just pregnancy.
And there is no morning after pill for HIV.
ACTUALLY THERE IS.
It’s called post exposure prophylaxis.
http://www.who.int/hiv/topics/prophylaxis/en/
If you’ve had unprotected sex and are afraid of possibly being at risk for HIV, please go to the emergency room and ask about POST EXPOSURE PROPHYLAXIS.
Works for up to 48 - 72 hours after exposure to HIV.
BOOST!
I wouldn’t need this but this is actually really cool and I’d like to share it in case anyone might need it.
If you see this on your dash REBLOG REBLOG REBLOG!!!! You could save a life
SAVE A LIFE 🔃🔃🔃🔃🔃🔃🔃🔃
There’s a FDA approved daily medication called Truvada, or the PrEP treatment, that is 92-99% effective in preventing the contraction of HIV.
http://men.prepfacts.org/the-questions/
Private insurance and Medicaid cover it. You can also get it for free in a lot of high risk cities like Atlanta, NY, and San Fransisco.
It’s the same cocktail they give to medical professionals who have had contaminated needle sticks/blood splashes from potentially infected blood. Very effective.
BOOST !!!!!
Please boost. You may think you’ll never need it, but you never know what might happen in your life

Reblog this post if you are tired of being the lonely gay friend. Watching all your straight/cis friends get in and out of relationships. And you are still waiting patiently for your person. And no one knows how lonely it is when everyone you are interested in is either only looking for sex, lives really far away, or ghosts you after a day. And you live in a small town so grindr is a sea of 43 year old men just looking for your body. And there is no one you can find around your age just looking to hold your hand and watch a thunderstorm with you and call you theirs. I see you. I’m one of you. I love you
When your child says “Why can’t I get a puppy?”
Instead of defaulting to “My house, my rules”
Try “Any pet is a lot of responsibility. A puppy would have to be fed, walked, and taken outside to use the bathroom several times a day and taken for regular check-ups and vaccinations at the vet. You can’t do all of that by yourself, and I/we don’t have the time or money either.”
When your teenager says “Why can’t I come home at 2:00 this Saturday?”
Instead of defaulting to “My house, my rules!”
Try “The time you come home is a matter of respect and consideration. I/We will not only be concerned for your safety, but we would either be disturbed in the middle of the night when you arrive or forced to stay up for several extra hours waiting.”
When your child says “Why am I not allowed to do this thing?”
Instead of defaulting to “My house, my rules!”
Try actually communicating a legitimate reason, because children pick up on subtlety and on context and on the unspoken messages, and it’s better to teach children lessons like “You should think really hard before taking on new responsibilities” and “It’s important to show consideration for the needs of the people with whom you share a living space” than lessons like “It’s okay for people to demand your absolute obedience so long as you’re dependent on them for survival.”
TRUTH
Also worth knowing: training your child to accept arbitrary ‘reasons’ for obedience like ‘because I said so’ and ‘my house my rules’ etc trains them to be more susceptible to peer pressure because in their mind, when someone who is at all an authority (older than them, bigger than them, more impressive than them, more confident than them) demands something, they should accept it and not think about it critically. Let them ask why, and give them a real reason. If not, don’t be surprised when they fall for lots of bullshit when they are older. You’re the one that made them believe ‘BECAUSE’ was reason enough.
Do you think this is a pretty sight? This is the reality of having anorexia for 12+ years. The reality of what eating disorders can do to your body.
When I was in high school and then in college getting my bachelors degree, I spent more time in hospitals and treatment centers than I did out of them.
And then I found out
My organs failed. Permanently.
Last year, I needed major surgery that took about 4 HOURS, and after that I was admitted to the hospital for a week on heavy pain medications, being wheeled around because I couldn’t walk.
I had tubes everywhere.
I had to medically withdraw from graduate school because I had to spend that time in doctors offices, infusion centers for IVs, in the ER, or admitted into the hospital.
Now I have a 6 inch scar across my abdomen and will be on medications for the rest of my life to help my heart and stomach function enough to keep me alive.
I’ve nearly died multiple times from the ED, but I had never believed that my organs could shut down and leave me to deal with that reality for the rest of my life.
That is not a way anyone should have to live life.
This is what an eating disorder looks like. Not the “thinspo” everyone sees on the Internet. This is what you don’t see behind those pictures and it’s not pretty.
WTF HOW DOES THIS ONLY HAVE 1,000 NOTES?? SIGNAL BOOST PLS
Anyways the way Tumblr treats the Perks Of Being A Wallflower like it’s cringe and bad just because of the hipster craze over it in 2012 and ignoring the fact that it’s one of the few books/movies that shows the ugly side of teen mental illness and discusses sexual trauma in young boys (something only portrayed in shows like SVU) is in fact, bullshit, and I’ll never forgive y'all for taking the line “we accept the love we think we deserve” (a reference to toxic abusive relationships) and turning it into cringe culture. This is a book about a struggling depressed kid who I saw myself in as a teen, and yeah he and his friends could be annoying and pretentious but are you going to say you weren’t as a kid?

russian twists: these help for a small waist and with lovehandles. i started to do this a week ago and my waist shrunk two inches!
plank: this is also good for your center abdomen. it will tighten your core and is also good for your whole body
crunches: there are different variations to this. all of them work amazing with fast results.
THIGHS AND BUTT

arm circles: keep them tight and the burn will be stronger. this is super duper simple and easy to do on a lazy day
{no gif sorry}
bicep/tricep lifts: these work AMAZING. but the soreness the next day is a bit much mm
{no gif)
How does a dude end up with anorexia though? I’m assuming he’s straight…
What an ignorant ass question. Men are not immune to eating disorders, and neither are heterosexuals. Seriously what the hell kind of question is that?
This is what happens when we ignore men and boys in the body image discussion–people can’t conceive of men and boys having eating disorders. They can and do, so their issues need attention and support, the same as women and girls.
Anyway, I’m glad this guy is on the road to recovery and looking stronger.
