Anyone else that think that the idea of vampires in the vampire diaries series actually resemble their depression/ anxiety disorder? Like I actually have in mind a year of death which is in reality the year when everything have changed inside me and that's the year that I consider I turned into a vampire ever since. Like my heart is beating but I can't tell if I am actually alive anymore... The amplification of treats and feelings in vampires resembeles being extra sensitive, falling in love so hard and being extra in general. I died several times ever since but ended up living again in the same way vampires wake up after their non-eternal death. And the way they switch off their humanity sometimes in order not to feel anything .. Oh boy, it just seems so familiar and too understandable to me . Like I sometimes do this to cut myself from the reality when I just can't take one more disappointment. The fact that vampires don't sleep just adds some humor to the sleeping disorders that I have. And huh.. Being a vegan is so much like trying to be the ethical vampires who won't drink blood to survive even though other vampires would claim drinking blood makes them stronger.. And finally the assumption in the series that vampires manage to walk between us and we just never notice is just like how mentally ill fellas can pass unnoticed between others.
