Christmas holidays were supposed to be so exciting. Yeah right with parents like hers she would likely experience fun well into her late sixties. According to her mother she was acting like a child because she was refusing to talk to her, according to Alecto her mother shouldn’t throw stones while in a glass house.
It was just one little gathering at the Lestrange home and yes while their parents would not be home nothing bad would happen…that was complete rubbish of course. The people she seemed to associate with were deviants from the first water that happened to have no money and no morals no one in their right minds would let at 16 year old go there especially after Amycus had turned his nose up at the idea and decided he was not going she had been confined to her home.
“Well I hope you are happy with yourself big brother.”Alecto said barging into his room without knocking. Taking a book from his shelf she flopped onto his bed flicking through the page aimlessly “You could have just said you were going and then left me to it. I am hardly the sacrificial lamb, I can take care of myself.”

Amycus was in his room reading the Daily Prophet. He had taken a sudden interest in the wizarding world. After all, he did live in it. He was concentrating hard on the paper and the words. It was the Christmas holidays... Amycus did not take well to Christmas, not at all. Then suddenly - his room burst open. Startled, thinking it was his mother, he turned to face her but it was Alecto instead.
His room was a nice medium sized one, and he was positive that Alecto had a bigger room. She as huffing now, and she did not even knocked ! Growling under his breath, he had to tolerate his twin sister. His father favoured Alecto, of course. It was very obvious. “Happy? Happy with what?” He stood, raising an eyebrow, “Take care of yourself? Dear sister, may I remind you that we are sixteen, and I am the man of the house when our mother and father are not at home.” He crossed his arms against his chest. His room was decorated in Slytherin colours, with Quidditch posters around the room.
“Besides, we can have fun. Just the two of us.” Amycus shrugged, “We could perhaps study together - you know how important these exams are...I am also thinking of joining the Death Eaters.” He was young of course and thought he knew best. He wanted to honour the Dark Lord. “I think the time is right..you know, it’ll make our parents proud..”
