(37) 29Nov'25 My wife's lower legs were crushed by a pallet of Masonry Bricks when she came to my jobsite to bring me lunch. Doctors struggled 6-weeks to repair her bones & save her feet but Non-Union of her bones became Osteomyelitis & that brought gangrene, high fever & kidney failure too. Against advice for Through-Knee Amputations my wife only accepted Bilateral Below-Knee Amputations. It's been a difficult year with depression & denial & now the Prosthetic fittings manifested skin sores on her Stumps. New tests confirmed the Osteomyelitis is now throughout her left knee, climbing up the marrow in her thigh so she's having another Amputation tomorrow. We're enjoying the sun in our yard for one last time before she becomes an Asymmetric LHD/RBK Amputee in the morning
