In the sense that the monsters are being attacked and their homes destroyed/ all sorts of injuries/ having to survive on limited resources, constantly relocating themselves, living in fear, not often having moments of rest or peace, things like that. My au is also inspired by the Anime "Blame", similar, but on a smaller scale. They're not really going through an intentional genocide, the Empas just literally attack anything and everything- they're not really sentient like the monsters- they were created accidentally with hateful magic, so they're violent in nature.

I don't wanna sound insensitive by comparing elements from both Palestine and Blame or any other post apocalyptic story/ similar event in history (they just are comparable)- the situation in Gaza, Sudan, and many other places is horrible, and Isnotreal sucks, just to be clear.

Someone on tiktok said my au was ableist, but losing limbs is literally important for the whole fucking story

It's inspired by Full metal alchemist, Blame, and partially inspired by the genocide happening in Gaza.

It's supposed to be scary/ uncomfortable, the characters are living in fear- but I plan to have their limbs return to them in the end similar to Full metal alchemist Brotherhood. They're in a post apocalyptic/ ruined version of their underground being hunted by their own body parts that turned into soulless amalgamates driven by violence due to a spell cast by Asgore (tried to break the barrier after his children's death, spell went wrong cuz anger consumed him)

They're gonna be similar to the Undertale Amalgamates, but they're gonna have multiple monster parts combined to make up their bodies.

I think the EMPAs can use magic that the monsters their parts came from use, so they've got at least 4 different types of soul magic abilities? (I'll make a proper stat list for each one/ type at some point)

I'll show Sans's Empa counterpart at some point, it's a very special one. I'm thinking of making it like the ultimate boss EMPA with a bunch of boss monster parts, with sans's missing face (maybe it has some Gaster Blaster elements, too, idk yet)
