So I'm surprised I have never drawn what I think Ryoma would be like as a remnant of despair. I've seen other people do it but they more or less just go the predictable route so here's MY pitch

Ryoma, overcome with despair and his lack of will to live, turns into this sort of Hannibal murderous psychopath. He embraces society's perception of him as a cold hearted killer so much that his body count enters the thousands. Maybe even MILLIONS. However, just because he is on the side of despair means that he won't hesitate to turn on his fellow remnants, because he wholeheartedly believes he has nothing left to lose and the whole world deserves to pay for the grief he went through that fateful day

That's why he's usually kept in containment, brought out by the remnants as a sort of "last resort", like when someone sics their guard dog on you. As a reminder for still being a prisoner (only now under the rule of Junko Enoshima. Or I guess her teachings??), the Monokuma ball and chain on his leg doubles as a bomb! He can't pull any funny business. The fact he's under the threat of exploding at any moment doesn't phase him though, he still couldn't care less if he lives or dies
