          SHE  GETS  UP  FROM  HER  SEAT  as  soon  as  the  barista  calls  out  her  name  .  lyra  initially  pays  no  mind  to  the  another  name  being  called  out  soon  after  .  she  grabs  the  drink  ,  immediately  noticing  what’s  written  on  her  cup  .  definitely  not  her  order  .  eyes  shift  to  [  your  muse  ]  and  starts  walking  over  to  them  .  “  pardon  me  ,  ”  she  starts  ,  smiling  politely  .  “  the  barista  seems  to  have  swapped  our  orders  .  ”  turns  the  cup  so  the  scribbled  ink  is  facing  them  .  “  i  promise  you  i  did  not  take  a  sip  out  of  it  .  ”

               (   @amoreluxstart​​   )       valerie   had   a   babysitter   for   the   night,   so   julian   figured   it   wouldn’t   hurt   to   stop   by   the   mixer   for   a   couple   hours,   meet   the   other   residents   of   the   building   and   peharps   make   some   friends.       though   he   certainly   could   try   a   little   harder;   he   simply   watches   the   people   around   him   mingle,   holding   a   glass   of   bourbon.       and,   as   if   the   universe—or   just   his   luck—was   trying   to   tell   him   something,   a   slight   bump   into   someone   and   he   spilled   his   drink   all   over   himself.       “   fuck,   ”       he   mumbles,   the   clammy   feel   of   cotton   against   skin   making   him   cringe.       “   i   didn’t   get   any   on   you,   did   i   ?   ”

          “  I  THINK  THE  GREAT  THING  ABOUT  this  open  bar  concept  is  that  you  can  make  your  drinks  as  strong  as  you  like  ,  ”  cece  comments  to  the  person  next  to  her  .  she  swirls  the  liquid  in  her  glass  ,  eyes  now  scanning  the  selection  of  food  provided  .  “  anyways  ,  have  you  tried  the  mooncakes  ?  not  gonna  lie  ,  they  pair  really  well  with  a  whisky  or  scotch  .  ”

          “  IS  IT  ME  OR  DOES  IT  look  like  aspen  and  veronica  are  totally  judging  everyone’s  outfits  ?  ”  for  all  she  knows  ,  they  could  be  !  the  meaning  of  smart  casual  can  mean  very  different  things  for  people  .

         fingers   wrap   around   silver   tequila   bottle   in   swift   motion   ,   touch   of   agave   syrup   following   soon   after   and   mixed   with   bar   spoon   at   hand   ,   all   topped   off   with   ice   in   old   fashioned   glass   now   filled   to   the   brim   .   finest   crystal   raises   to   meet   glossed   petals   ,   taking   in   notes   of   pepper   and   citrus   ,   only   for   taste   test   to   halt   at   sight   of   looming   figure   ,   though   she   can’t   particularly   fault   them   for   approaching   mixer’s   very   hotspot   .   ‘   go   on   ,   pick   your   poison   and   i’ll   make   you   a   drink   .   ’   whether   generous   or   simply   much   too   jaded   for   own   taste   ,   she   offers   inviting   beam   ,   free   hand   settling   against   countertop   confidently   so   .   ‘   promise   i   won’t   make   it   too   strong   ,   unless   that’s   what   you’re   here   for   .   ’   /   @amoreluxstart​​

                          ❛  𝙤𝙝  ,  𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨  𝙞𝙨  𝙨𝙤  not  happening  right  now  .  ❜    all  ava  can  do  is  watch  as  the  lyft  driver  disappears  ,  her  flight  bag  sitting  safely  in  the  trunk  of  his  car  .  he  didn’t  even  give  her  the  chance  to  grab  her  belongings  ,  simply  driving  off  the  second  she  had  closed  the  door  .  ❛  could  this  day  get  any  worse  ?  ❜    she  mumbles  to  herself  ,  eyes  turned  towards  the  sky  and  her  hands  on  her  head  .

‘ no because listen. ’, fiona started , talking with her hands. they two of them stood in front of the jukebox that was snug and hidden in the corner of bathtub gin & co. ‘ you have to decide what the mood is first. ’, she explained to the other. music was one of the many topics the girl was intensely passionate about and she made sure everyone know. ‘ so , first things first. what do you want the people to feel ? ’, she leaned against the side of the jukebox, with a drink in her hand as she analyzed the person in front of her.

@amoreluxstart​ // Laurel was in a mood. Well, it was more of a phase. All she did lately was devour mysteries. Podcasts, books, movies, shows – you name it, she’d inhaled it. An unfortunate side effect of her media gluttony was a desperate, unscratchable itch to solve her own mystery. So, on her day off, she lurked around the corner from the ground floor elevator with a brand new recording device whirring in her hand as she waited for that ding! to signal someone had arrived, and hopefully brought some excitement. 

          “  hey,  i didn’t steal your laundry basket.  i borrowed it,  because i left mine upstairs.  your clothes are still there,  aren’t they  ?  no harm,  no foul.  “  said laundry basket is being held hostage on a washing machine,  his arm draped casually over it.  “  and i brought it back safely,  didn’t i  ?  “          @amoreluxstart​

         “  have you seen a package dropped off  ?  i got an email that it arrived today but i haven’t seen it.  “  his eyes have taken on a mildly frantic look,  but there’s an ever so polite smile as his hands gesture the rough size of the box.  “  it should be a pretty big package  ?  heavy  ?  there’s some books in there.  “          @amoreluxstart​

“The other day at the market, someone almost ate one of the soaps I had on display thinking it was a piece of cake,” she says, a soft laugh escaping her lips.
