A Journey to the East

Perhaps now and then a castaway on a lonely desert island dreads the thought of being rescued.

All you need to know is that it’s possible.

Life is eating us up. We shall be fables presently. Keep cool: it will all be one a hundred years hence.

Nothing real can be threatened. Nothing unreal exists. Herein lies the peace of God

Now is the meaning of eternal life. Jesus said, "Before Abraham was, I am." He didn't say "I was". He said, "I am." And to come to this, to know that you are and there is no time except the present, is to suddenly attain a sense of reality.

Beginnings and endings, universally speaking, may be strictly human concepts. Perhaps there was no beginning... Things simply are. Although change is constant, the environment in which it occurs may have no origin. We are imprisoned by the concepts of the beginning and end. The cycle of life and death may have its own reasons not apparent to man.

Be melting snow,             Wash yourself of yourself.

When the water returns to its original oneness with the river, it no longer has any individual feeling to it; it resumes its own nature, and finds composure. How very glad the water must be to come back to the original river! If this is so, what feeling will we have when we die?

Why don't you really know what you want? Two reasons. ...#1. You have it. #2. You don't know yourself. Because you never can. The Godhead is never an object of its own knowledge. Just as a knife doesn't cut itself, fire doesn't burn itself, light doesn't illuminate itself. It's always an endless mystery to itself.

Everything is dual; everything has poles; everything has its pair of opposites; like and unlike are the same; opposites are identical in nature, but different in degree; extremes meet; all truths are but half-truths; all paradoxes may be reconciled.

Put your thoughts to sleep, do not let them cast a shadow over the moon of your heart. Let go of thinking.
