the moment they ‘fell’, dumbstruck with love, and the girls seemed to shine.

immediately afterwards, they degenerated into malfunctioning idiots who didn’t know how to process their emotions. 

the guys smell good, and the biting.

this is an interesting one because it’s both a parallel and a contrast. 

there’s the reassurance through a comforting hug for the girl scared to lose herself, the desire to be the only one to grant her wish (’to make her the happiest girl in the world’ ‘i’m the one who will make your wishes come true’). Both the girls have the same wish, for Vanitas and Yato to kill them, but while Vanitas happily states he’ll grant her wish (which I’m sure he’ll regret later on), Yato won’t ever grant this particular wish of Hiyori’s (’this is one wish I just can’t grant’).

Natsu: That's not true. I don't really know how to say this, but whether your tears fall or they don't.. I don't think that has anything to do with how you truly feel.

Lucy: Protect the future..

Natsu: *Gives her reassurance, says that she doesn't need to worry, repeatedly says he's gonna be okay*
