“Yeah?...well, what was your most recent ‘whimsical exploration’“

    reading over the note, sirius looked over at the boy and shrugged. —sorry mate, but yeah it is. he wrote before sending the note to it’s sender. he would only try swinging that way for one man. unfortunately for the hufflepuff it wasn’t him. although, he did appreciate any infatuations regardless of gender. it boosted his ego to know that someone wanted his attention.

    sirius opened the note and quickly scribbled —i was bored and you were the first to look up.  his handwriting looked like chicken scratch but he assumed the boy would be able to read it. if not he would take a nap peter always seemed to enjoy his potions naps so they couldn’t be too bad. he charmed the paper into an arrow so it would shoot across the room.

Seeing the arrow come wizzing towards him, he snatched it from the air quickly, just incase slughorn decided to actually look at what his students were doing for once. Opening it, his blush and smile faded into a crinkle of his nose. He began to write oh, well now I don’t feel nearly as special. Is it because I’m not a pretty girl? before charming it into a star that circled around him before landing on the elder’s desk.

    “ah alright if you say so.”

“Excuse me, the proper answer is ‘I love you too, amadeus’“

“that’s my point.  they’re all very important.  you’ve gotta prioritize, mate.”

“But we are sixth years, we’ve got time. Ill tell you, after the attack and loosing my leg, it feels like...like I don;t need to worry about what’s next but instead enjoy that I can do what I want and try new things and learn and stuff...No matter how cheesy it sounds.”

“i better or else i’m blaming you!”

“Have I ever given you a bad book recommendation? No--the answer is no. I wouldn’t put you through something so horrible as a bad book causeI love you and junk.” He said, elbowing the other.

matthias’ expression was skeptical as gave the hufflepuff a quick once over, attitude doubtful,   ❛   ah, i see. this is something you invented, because why settle for one when you can have two, hm ?   ❜   whoever had heard of someone so  quick to trust for a single slice of burnt bread ?  he eyed the badger, a part of him stunned before shoving his hands into his trouser pockets and heading down the corridor, leading the way.   ❛   we’ll put it in the books  for some later date.   ❜   

“Exactly! Keeps the blood sugar up, and you get to enjoy one of lifes greatest pleasures twice in the morning. It’s a pretty good way to start off the day if I may say so myself.” He said with a smile as he began to crutch his way beside the other. “Later date?...so you voluntarily want to hang out with me again then, huh?” He said with a small grin, attempting to keep it away as best he could.

“amadeus, you silly boy.  if i pursued every subject i was good at, i wouldn’t have time to breathe.  or play quidditch, or eat, or anything else i enjoy.”

“Hey...” He said with a small grin. “I like all three of those things. Those are probably my top three favorite things...well...that and animals.” He said with a little scrunch of his nose. 

“i enjoyed divination a lot — and i was very good at it, if i do say so myself — but i could never figure out what use i might have for it after hogwarts.  i’ve got plenty of other talents to follow up on, though.”

“Why has it got to have a use besides you liking it though, that’s my question. Just because you are talented in something doesn’t mean it’ll make your life complete. I mean, if that was true, I feel like no kids here would ever have sex and would just do underground duels for a living.”

“oh shut it.” amos teased, punching the other’s arm. “no i’ve never heard of that story before. seems interesting though, i might have to look into it. now the only problem is that i know most of the story so it kind of spoiled it for me.”

“Oh but then you would crave the sound of my voice, now wouldn’t you?” He hummed as he rubbed his arm where it was hit. “Hey--woah, accusing me of spoilers? that barely grazes the surface of the plot. You’ll have a fun time with it still, promise you that.”

“no, of course not.  what kind of student do you take me for?”  he was indignant, although the boy hadn’t been entirely wrong.  “when it came time to decide what i wouldn’t be continuing into n.e.w.t.-levels, i had to prioritize other subjects over divination.  it’s a shame, because i enjoyed it.”

“A silly one.” THe brunette teased lightly. He leaned back as he listened to the other, folding his arms as he thought about it. “But shouldn’t you take all the joy in life? Do what you love? I mean....that’s why I do care of magical creatures and quidditch. Everything else is great fun too, but why not be passionate about something.”

❛   the fact you didn’t finish your breakfast this morning is hardly my fault, amadeus.   ❜   his tone reminiscent of a scolding, he nevertheless stood. expression unreadable as he looked down at the hufflepuff.   ❛   what you’re asking for is a favor.   ❜

“Okay see that’s where you are wrong because I did finish my breakfast...it’s time for second breakfast.” He said with a small hum. “Alright, I can do this as a favor...what do you want in return?”
