In your most recent OC comics we can see a much more « civilised » Jade Montain (cafeteria rather than a cave filled with preys for example). Is it supposed to happen in a futur in which Pantala customes would have impacted Pyrrhia’s, or is this just your headcannons?
You are partially correct! Phyrria and Pantala have come into contact in my OC's verse, but it is very recent. The remodeled Jade Mountain Academy was designed by an animus dragon, who is also the current principal!
I've done a few sketches of JMA for this post! If you're wondering how all of this mountain-reshaping came to be, it's all magic (as usual.) The school is made to constantly resemble a small-scale model: as the model is changed, so is the school! Through changing the model, JMA is able to continuously expand and accommodate the growing student body. They usually save construction for summer break.
Each winglet gets their own bunkhouse, which are all placed on the outer slope of the mountain. They have 2 large bedrooms, a common area on the second floor and an open design for easy entry/exit. Winglets are free to decorate their bunkhouse as long as it follows some rules! I imagine the roof canopy is a hard shell that can be pulled down during bad weather. Unfortunately, they have communal bathrooms.
The whole place was originally made for flying dragons, with few staircases and open halls that encourage students to fly to/from class. In the last year, more staircases were added to make the campus more accessible.
I don't think it's very convenient for dragons to use human tables. Instead, I gave them these weird crescent slates so they can lounge around while they learn.
I also think this new campus would have areas designed as enrichment spaces for each tribe! I didn't sketch them all out, but a big conservatory would be well-suited for the Leafwings and Rainwings... Mudwings could get a mud spa, Seawings could get pools... maybe the sandwings get a giant magnifying glass that beats concentrated sun rays down at them? Is that a hazard?
