@stompwhomper Hey! Captain Kara isn’t actually any kind of real fish or marine mammal... My inspiration for him (and Poseidon Kara) are cetea, hippocampi, the god Triton and old representations of dolphins/whales.

^ A cetus (just a sea monster really, they carry nymphes on their backs)

I just really really love the twistiness and windiness of their bodies in those representations-- they make no anatomical sense but I just find them really pretty to look at.
