Draco: know-it-all swot!

Theo: I can't...it's never going to happen, Elle. I can't even come up with the memory, the wisp of smoke.

Marielle: Do you know what I think of? My debutante ball. Which, mostly, was terrible. But do you remember, when it was just you, Draco, and myself? We danced and-"

Theo: *small smile* we were awful

Marielle: *laughs* no regard for the music, just wild and free, with my best friend and my brother.

Theo: *nods* my mother, she used to sing to me.

Marielle* (softly) You can keep the good memories, Theo, and let them outshine the bad.

Hermione: So what is having Draco as an older brother like?

Marielle: Merlin, he's barely older than me.

Hermione: I'm an only child, so I guess it's hard to imagine. How much older is he?

Marielle: Like ten minutes, at the most, and he spent all that time a crying babe anyway, so-

Hermione: wait, you're twins? So you're both twelve-but its your first year, and his second?

Marielle: It's my second, too. Theres a couple like me-Pansy Parkinson, Daphne Greengrass, in our year. We were home tutored through this year before attending Hogwarts.

Hermione: *screws up her nose* Is this another one of those pureblood things?

Marielle: *laughs* I suppose. The really traditional families don't send the girls to Hogwarts until they are twelve.

Hermione: why?
