she didn’t know what to think. did she want to forgive him? walk away? truthfully, she had no idea. the fact that he was choosing to be honest now did count for something, she could admit that. “why couldn’t you just tell me?” she sighed. “finding out like this was shit.” sure, it wasn’t exactly his fault she’d walked in on the conversation. but, that was besides the fact. even now, she didn’t really want to lose him. “half of me is just hurt, but the other half? i don’t know..”

“i was going to tell you, when i found out the right way.” malik stated, letting out a sigh and rubbing his face. “listen, i’m not expecting you to forgive me... hell, i don’t even expect you to want anything to do with me.” he stated, looking her in the eyes. “i didn’t want you to find out this way, but please trust me when i say i was going to tell you at some point. i just didn’t know how to tell you or what to say. the last thing i want is for you to be hurt, i know it’s too late because it’s obvious you are.”

lexi set the glass on the bartop and grabbed a towel from under the bar. “you’re welcome to stay here as long as you need. we have a back room too, if you wanna sit somewhere else.” she told him. she slipped away, moving down a few feet and scrubbing at a sticky spot on the bar, the remnants of something-or-other left behind by a patron the night before.

“the southeast corner, goofy!” anya said, giggling. “i’ve had a couple experiences here, but most of mine have been in other places.” she flipped through her sketchbook for a moment as they walked, finding the page she wanted and pulling out a slightly worn photo and holding it out. “the best evidence i’ve ever gotten - a full bodied apparition right here.”

“  almost  every  single  second  i’ve  known  you  but,  ”  a  pause  is  drawn  between  the  words,  sigh  falling  past  parted  lips.  griffin  makes  no  hesitation  to  lean  forward,  leveling  his  gaze  with  her  own.  “  who’s  counting?  ”

     she  sighs  as  she  looks  over  at  the  other  ,  wiggling  her  feet  as  she  adjusts  the  blanket  around  them  both  .  jazmyn  rests  her  head  on  their  shoulder  ,  humming  a  little  as  she  just  curls  against  them  .  “  what  have  you  been  up  to  ??  ”  jazmyn  asks  softly  ,  before  tilting  her  head  to  look  at  them  .  “  i  feel  like  i  haven’t  seen  you  in  forever  .  ”

vic gave a small smirk, quirking a brow as she did. “i’m victoria. you don’t know me, but i think we can help each other.” she crossed her arms on the table, putting her chin in her hand and tapping her fingers against her cheek. “how does a third of five million bucks sound to you?”

“oh.” sylvie hadn’t actually thought about the domestic side of things, though that was perhaps because she’d never had to before. up until now, she’d been able to do things whenever she wanted and it was going to take a little adjusting to living with someone else. “well, no parties. obviously. if you make a mess, clean it. i’m not saying you have to do your dishes the second you’ve finished eating but i would appreciate three days worth not lying in the sink. i like to shower first thing in the morning but if you’d prefer to go before me, just let me know. it’s electric so you don’t need to worry about using up all the hot water,” she rattled off the first couple of things that came to her mind, pursing her lips as she considered anything else. “i’d kind of appreciate no loud music or anything after 11 at night. i’m usually in bed before then but i can be reasonable. that’s… it, i think.”
