KC, in her Brooklyn apartment ten years ago. We met in Dallas a few years before this while I was touring as a model - she is a photographer, an amazing one. Then met up in NYC a number of times, our paths then separated for years 11 years ago I was getting to know Nerlande and so many others in NYC, 10 years ago I was shooting models on film and printing in the darkroom like crazy, 7 years ago I was in Iceland with Rick (😔), 5 years ago I was nursing my messed up foot from the dinghy accident while stuck in bed but working on learning how to turn sailor skills into art, 4 years ago I was in San Diego trying to crew on a boat going to Hawaii (that didn’t work out, dude was not cool but how different my life would be right now if it had?), and 3 years ago I was just starting to get to know my (now Melanie’s) puppy Athena. Now I am living in Marathon working on my boat in quarantine. What a strange world. and now we both live on our sailboats. Time to part with this guy. Every time I let go of one of my film cameras hurts my heart. I used to shoot with these cameras all the time. This is a Polaroid 250 with a portrait kit. It’s been kept in a pelican case and while it’s own case is rough, the camera and kit are in great shape. $60 + $10 shipping in US. One of my halyards periodically bangs pretty good on the mast, I’ll figure that out later today when it warms up. This wind will last until Tuesday. Yesterday I got food, beer and ice to last me till then as I can’t paddle my kayak against this.
