it’s not for lack of love. it’s just that-- sometimes, people are too alike. and it’s hard to apologize and express the love that you feel.

halfway “ignored” by his mother, he’s spent his entire life trying to gain the attention and love of everyone around him. he definitely tries to shift his personality to be the person u want him to be--- but can only really settle on pretentious intellectual + wild child

so ig what i’m trying to say is that ... he’s the duality of man if both dualities were the WORST and most pretentious

mostly, what’s happened is that the people who like him really like him. and the people who don’t-- he refuses to spend the time of day on.

it’s a lie, of course. but it’s a good one. and it’s one that he goes to sleep telling himself.

pls i beg u!! yes, he’s terrible, but, deep down, i think he wants to be good. i think he wants to be soft. but the only time he ever got his mother’s attention was when he was doing something wrong and it’s made his perception of how love is supposed to be— skewed.

people who have studied under/knows his mom -- ur too close. everytime he sees u he flinches. he’ll walk in during ur consultation with his mother and the two of them will stiffly update each other on their day and ur like god dang what a weird ass relationship. alternately, he’ll sit outside his mother’s office while ur doing consults. and u can’t help but wonder... god... what kind of mom, would make her child wait.

friends/enemies/etc. from childhood --- he grew up near the university has always been around town

2009 - this, this is the first time you ever see him. he is glowing faintly from your television screen, not so much the christian kelley you will one day know, but rather chad dylan cooper. 

he is golden. with bated breath, a quick-beating heart, you look at his green eyes, the sharpness of his jaw. it’s an easy charisma he exudes, a genuineness you cannot tear your eyes away from. he is the boy next door,  the all-american ideal, everything you are not.

you are too old to watch disney channel now, your parents have started letting you see r-rated movies and you don’t even have nightmares about them anymore. but, right now, the lights are low and just because you are too old to watch disney channel does not mean you don’t. 

everyone loves him. even outside the tv--- you see his name pop up in the gossip magazines, whispered sometimes in the hallways at school and, even though you do not know him, even though it is 2009 and you are 13 and he does not even know you exist-- even then, you love him too.

2014 - cut to the crash--- 

you are spinning off-road, and yet you are not even in a car at all. 

and then, the phone rings. you look down at the picture you have saved of him as id and you cannot help but think he looks just like he did when you were 13. 

-2018 - you have known him in some form or the other for almost a decade. and you have loved him for just as long. 

not in the same way you had at 13, half-jealousy and half-adoration, and not in the same way as you had at 18, when you were greedy for what he had and thankful for what he shared, and certainly not in the same way as when you were 20, and his hand was the only one extended to you.

wipe the introductions (previously alias + pronouns) channel + pin a form so members can fill out their alias, pronouns, timezone, n a fun-fact upon entering.

delete the #blog-drops channel in general and the #blogs-to-follow channel in administration. create a single #blogs channel in the dashboard section where it belongs.

delete the #replied threads channel and #closed starter channels. while these are nice, the same effect can be done by just messaging the person and this isn’t information that needs to be communicated to the whole group.

consolidate the most wanted/wanted plots channel into a single #character requests channel. i don’t really understand what’s going on with either of them/their difference.
