So ever since I got my VLR bracelet, it’s had these scratches on the surface that I wish I could get rid off. Does anyone know how I could make those go away? The “crystal” is actually plastic, if that helps

And also, I was about to change the battery for a new one but how could I take it out of its socket? I tried pushing the sprint a little, but it still doesn’t have enough room to get out. 

Remember the words on the 4infinity site that had the counter ultimately leading up to the announcement of ZTD? Those are already starting to be relevant!

The words were: ice cream, coin (scrolling left), firefighter (scrolling right), shotgun, ring, salt (removed) and Gab.

And the removed images that had five words each: dream, PENCIL, HOPE, EYES, TEAM and speak, BLACK, salt, Novel, OPEN.

Remember back when the countdown ended and they said we shouldn’t pay attention to the words since they were just random and to garner attention, and had nothing to do with the game?

Aksys and Uchikoshi are LIARS.

Gab is the dog, Eric is an ice cream salesman, Carlos is a firefighter, CQD is the name of the three teams. Shift is most likely a reference to switching between the teams or timeline jumps. Psychopath is pretty self explanatory. 

I found it from website image. I like that background but I think that photoshop is bad…Okay. 

Thought it might be interesting to show how my Mos Eisley piece breaks down in Photoshop!  Despite technically being made up of a ton of layers (just for organization and ease of selection), the final piece breaks down into about five parts: inks, flats, shadows, bounce/atmosphere, and overlay.

Sketch I actually blocked out a small scene in Maya to help me compose this shot – Mos Eisley has a lot of domes and ellipses and, as much as I adore drawing in perspective, it definitely helped having a basic maquette for placing the camera.  We had to get the sketch approved by Lucasfilm, so I did a quick value pass to hint at the time of day.

Final Sketch This is where I’m finalizing the composition before inking.  This meant fine-tuning figure placement, environment details, and any text I had written on the walls.  Luke was almost entirely central in the initial sketch, so I shifted him to the left to let the piece breathe a little more.

Inks The first stage of the final piece, and probably my favourite – I can just turn off my brain, zone out, and ink.  Since Star Wars is a notoriously “used” universe, I went for a bit of Geof Darrow vibe and let the inks do a lot of the texture work for me.  The inking is actually done over some twelve-odd layers (sandtrooper, Luke, foreground moisture vaporator, etc), but that was just to organize my file and facilitate expedient flatting later on.  The final inks are a dark green-blue, with a bit of variation in the distance to reinforce the atmospheric perspective.

Flats This aaaalways takes longer than I expect.  This stage changes depending on my process, but I went with pretty basic local colors this time around.  Nothing fancy.

Shadows (multiply layer) The shadows are all on 1-2 multiply layers, pretty basic.  This was a deceptively simple lighting setup, so I wanted to make sure any edges that were catching light read really clearly.  I added the warm rim of subsurface scattering to break up the edges a bit.

Bounce Light and Atmospheric Perspective (screen layers) A couple separate layers, but they serve similar purposes.  This stage added bounce light from the sky and sand, as well as layers of atmospheric perspective to separate out the foreground, midground and background.

Final (overlay layers) The final piece!  I used a subtle overlay layer to marry the colors, as well as some film grain and light watercolor texture to break up the swaths of flat digital color.

It’s just that it was sunny the whole day, so I think I got sunburnt! Ugh… it really stings. Haruka: You’re overreacting. Your skin’s not that tanned. Nagisa: That’s not true! Look! Haruka: …you are tanned. Nagisa: See? You should speak for yourself too, Haru-chan, you’re pretty tanned yourself, y'know? Haruka: Really…? Nagisa: Pull them down and take a look! C'mon, c'mon! Haruka: …I’m even more tanned. Nagisa: Wow~! You’re right! You’re so many shades darker~! That’s so cool, Haru-chan! Haruka: Cool? This is cool? Nagisa: Yeah! My skin doesn’t tan easily, it only turns red… and when I do become tanned, it hurts… doesn’t it hurt for you, Haru-chan? Haruka: No… I never really gave it any thought… Nagisa: Aww no fair~! Oh, that’s right! If I keep swimming on and on, just like you, will I get a beautiful tan like yours? Haruka: Do you swim just to get a tan? Nagisa: Ahaha, well, that’s not all, but… Makoto: C'mon you two, hurry up! Rei: Gou-chan is waiting with a key and getting quite mad! Nagisa: Oop, sorry, sorry! We’re coming! Haru-chan, hurry, hurry! Haruka: Yeah… Makoto: We’re locking up now! Nagisa: Wait for us! Haruka: Nagisa… you’re fine just the way you are. Nagisa: Huh? Did you say something? Haruka: No… it’s nothing. Nagisa: You’re so weird! Hey, Haru-chan! Let’s swim heaps this summer! Haruka: Yeah… let’s do that.
