A Warden's Paean

Got the whole family pissed off at me simply because I was trying to be courteous to the school and comply to their conditions. My nephew has his little graduation thing today and the school said to please limit to four family members to attend. So I got invited along with his parents and our dad. So I got up early ready to go, find out his other grandma decided to go last minute so im like alright I'll give up my spot for her whatever, inconvenient since it messed up my morning plans but its whatever. But oh boy they got all annoyed with me cuz oooh we won't be the only family with more than four people! Why do you always gotta be like this! And then slam doors as they leave cuz theyre so annoyed with me so that's just great. Like was I wrong? I just didn't wanna be "that guy" and add the extra person when the school asked for a limit. The spot where they hold this stuff is tiny as is and its not like my nephew is even gonna care much my gosh. Me trying to put saying no into practice and everyone loses their goddamn minds
