There is Mayra who has in her possession the Bee Miraculous.

There is Miraculer who is standing her ground against Carapace and Rena Rouge.

There is Chat Noir who is severely injured and has reached his limit. 

He cannot fight nor defend himself thus making him highly vulnerable to have his Miraculous be taken by Mayura or Miraculer

And Ladybug doesn’t know where to give priority anymore. She must not lose the Bee Miraculous to Hawkmoth. She also needs to defeat the supervillain, but at the same time, she cannot leaves Chat Noir’s side as he needs her.

I believe the last time we have seen Ladybug being this hesitant was back at her debut. 

Even back in Heroes Day, when all her teammates are akumatized, she didn’t lose her focus and only starts to question whether they can actually beat Scarlet HM and his army when they were hiding in the sewers before being reassured by Chat Noir. 

Here, this is something else. Something totally different to what we are used. Ladybug is being overhelmed by the responsabilities on her shoulders in the middle of a fight. 

Marinette : Don’t do this, Luka! That would be revenge, not justice! If you associate with Hawkmoth, you will have to fight Chat Noir and Ladybug.

Silencer : Chat Noir and Ladybug? Where were they when we needed them?! From now on, it is I, Silencer, who will lay down the law… the law of silence!

*Marinette is shocked*

Marinette : That’s the impression I get, yes… even if it’s weird coming from a villain.

Tikki : Maybe they were Luka’s feelings?
