I hadn’t done a Rolling Stone cover in 5 years, and hadn’t seen Brian Hiatt since I got in 2 car crashes while driving him around during our interview in 2012. 🤦‍♀️ There were no cars driven this time, but we had a lot to catch up on. Thank you Rolling Stone and Brian for everything you did to make this cover happen. And Erik Madigan Heck for taking these photos, absolutely loved working with you!

The man: “I’d be an alpha type”

RTOV: “Taylor Swift is *responsible* for me being suspended.

The man: “and I’m so sick of them coming at me again!”

RTOV: Taylor Swift is on top of the world, but has she done some sketchy things to get there?

The man: “they’d say I’d hustled put in the work, they wouldn’t shake their heads and question how much of this I deserve.”

RTOV: “I felt like she was a little angry”

The man: “If I was rude, could all be separated from my good ideas and power moves.”

RTOV: she holds TOO many grudges.

The man: “they paint me out to be bad, so it’s okay that I’m mad!”

RTOV: “there she is leaving a restaurant”...”you can see her feet at the very bottom and can SEE her making her way into the car”

The man: “I’m so sick of running as fast as I can!”

RTOV: I can understand trying to keep your relationship to yourself...at first, but come on

The man: “they’d say I played the field before I found someone to commit to, and that would be okay for me to do”

RTOV: and Taylor *voluntarily* bringing attention to her self with her donation
