You ask me what my dreams are

I reply ‘I don’t know’

You ask me what my goals are

I reply ‘I don’t know’

You ask me what my plans are

I reply ‘I don’t know’              

You ask me why I don’t know

I reply ‘I don’t know’

You tell me you are frustrated, you are tired, and you can’t deal with this

You ask me ‘Why are you like this?’

I reply ‘I don’t know’

You leave without a word.

 You ask me what my dreams are

I fabricate a story that I wish were true

You ask me what my goals are

I reply with that same story

You ask me what I like

I reply ‘everything you do’

You ask me what I want

I reply ‘you.’

 I tell you I don’t want any of the things I said before

You tell me you are frustrated and confused

I apologize

You ask me ‘Why are you like this?’

I reply ‘This isn’t anything new’

You reply ‘So you lied’

I reply ‘I don’t know’

 You ask me ‘Is that all you say?’

I reply ‘I don’t know’

You tell me you can’t live like this

I reply ‘I know’

You fall silent

I ask, ‘Do you still like me?’
