Playing with a bit of a different style with this one!

A romantic moment from my fic "Counterplay," my very first foray into the JC fandom almost 10 years ago! And oh what fun it's been ever since! ❤️ But whether or not you've read or intend to read the fic, I hope this piece of fanart captures your imagination! 🥰

The result of a drawing exercise in which I use a bunch of screen shots of my two favorite drawing subjects 😉 from an episode of Voyager (in this case, The Fight) as references for pencil sketching in my sketchbook.

They're not perfect but I was actually rather pleased with the way they turned out, and I thought some of you may get a kick out of them too so I'm sharing 🥰

If you're curious about the process, I drew the basic sketches with a pencil in my sketchbook and then moved them to my ipad to fix some things (usually the eyes 🙄 and noses) and to add the shading.

Curious despite himself, Chakotay wonders if a bit of TLC might coax Voyager to reveal what Janeway tells the ship? Or maybe he should just ask...

Note: Though we saw Chakotay with a spear in Voy's "Waking Moments," this comic is mostly inspired by Prodigy’s "the Last Flight of the Protostar," in which Chakotay is able to free the kids from the net with one throw 👇🏼 - that takes some serious skills (and confidence that he wasn’t going to hit his catch 😆)!

So here he is in the comic, coaching Janeway during their downtime... 😁 And there she is, indulging him 😉
