A Mad Man's Chick

And I'm choosing to make brownies and drink instead of do some homework.

Here's my list of things I need to do within the next two weeks:

Finish up projects for 2 classes, neither of which I give a shit about

Find a job.

Package and mail out my personal promotion piece to potential employers.

Find a job.

Finalize the sublet on my apartment.

Find a job.

Pack up and store all of the stuff in said apartment.

Find a job.

Attend graduation and try not to freak out about not having a job right now.

I'm reading a lot about people's reactions to NC's Amendment 1 and how it's ok because the state decided for itself to ban gay marriage.

Regardless of whether it's at the state or federal level, stripping rights is still stripping rights. The Constitution extends the rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness to everyone. EVERYONE. No matter what state you live in.

States can decide on a lot of things for themselves, but if it involves removing the rights of a specific demographic of people, it's unconstitutional. It may not be spelled out in the Constitution, but nearly everything that people fuss over can be pulled into the category of "pursuit of happiness." Gay marriage? Go for it. Drugs? Who gives a shit? Seriously people, a lot of the things that people get so worked up about would have little to no influence on your life at all if the laws changed.

Since it's relevant, I'll use the recent happenings in North Carolina. Keep up with me:

North Carolina banned gay marriage yesterday.

By stripping anyone of any right, you are inherently recognizing that they had that right for you to remove.

Stripping anyone of their right to the pursuit of happiness is unconstitutional.

Marrying the person you love makes you happy.

A ban on gay marriage is unconstitutional.

That right there is logic.

. . . And as with all those who have come before you, their path soon came to and end.

And they only found me, their future. Quietly waiting.

And I asked them the same two questions I will someday ask you.

"Is it possible to be happy with this life?"

And them I will ask as I do to everyone else,

". . .Headlines like “Ron Paul’s stealth state convention takeover” and “Ron Paul People Playing Mischief with Delegates” indicate that instead of ignoring Paul’s victories, they now seek to imply that there is something sneaky or unfair about them. Some even suggest that his delegate success in states where he did not win the popular vote may even (gasp!) “undermine democracy.”

Looking for these handlebars for my motorcycle, but also looking for the best price. If anyone out there is a fabricator / custom part builder, let me know!

Need them in 7/8, preferably stainless steel but will consider getting raw steel chromed.

Not that I've done a lot the first week of classes, but two of my courses are basically the same class with different purposes, one is a joke, i'm really enjoying one already, and we haven't done much in the other.
