Assad said Armand can't plan things in long term or think about their consequences. I guess this have to do with him barely remembering his traumatic past and not having learned how actions can carry heavy baggage because everything he remembers about life comes in small, painful flashes.
That's why his first reaction wasn't anger, but rather running after Louis and trying to explain himself like a child would. He wants to be good to someone, he wants to make Louis happy, because all he remembers is that he was born to serve. And that's so sad, 'cause in the end he didn't fight back or protest, but accepted his "punishment" in silence.

I see fans wondering why so many hate Marius or find him problematic.
Anne wrote this character in a way that basically said it was nice for him to be a pedophile, she normalized and romanticized it to the point of making kids like Armand enjoy him doing these things to them. And almost no one talks about it.
I'm not saying we should all hate him and hate the books and I'm not judging those who like him.
I'm just saying: in TVA he did some really bad and traumatic things. The scenes were written in a erotic and romantic tone. Armand was a child. This doesn't go well at all.
