i donโt know who needs to hear this today but sometimes you can love a character purely bc theyโre fuckinh horrific okay. thatโs a thing youโre allowed to do. the difference between saying โthis character is awful but compelling and i find them fascinatingโ and โthis character is actually a BABY and did NOTHING WRONGโ ..... vast

itโs worth noting that while i do have a verse in which padmรฉโs more involved in the twins lives/gets to raise them herself, luke and leia are entirely products of the people who raised them. they would arguably both be totally different people were they raised by padmรฉ and anakin and to pretend otherwise ignores the (frankly impressive) job done by the lars and organa families.
