it's not so bad perhaps it is better. more mint, it lasts. i've purchased it on sale, and it lives in the medicine cabinet. but you only brush your teeth once a day, and you use the fridge as your medicine cabinet. down the hatch, it fills the hole.

a child teaching adults.

it's been a long day. two icicles submerged in hot water, bubbles brimming at the overflow. turning the knob more to the left hoping the ice will melt. ouch. hot. feeling slowly extends to extremities, two animal feet emerge. it's been a long week.

i was grinding my teeth all night. i had so many dreams that they all mixed together. i kept trying to un-mix them, like paint- impossible. everything turned brown.

i dreamt of you last night. you came to me, i closed the stall door. our shoulders exposed, they stared at us- different you & i. our faces so close- i told you, i love you. symbolic privacy that doesn't exist.

gratuitous selfishness. every thought cycles back to glasses and curls. opaque & unchanging due to this heavy heart. one time- just one time free me of this heart. my brain is yelling. this heart refuses to listen with every ounce of it's flesh. a beautiful & cowardly distraction.
