All The Little Things

The truth is that you are not with me anymore. I do believe that you are my soul mate. You were sent to do a job and accomplished it in the end to bring self confidence and happiness in my life. Thanks to you I now know what both of those emotions feel like together. You are so special to me, and I know that I will love you forever. But lately I haven’t been able to sleep because I know that it’s over between us. I’m not bitter anymore because I know that what we had was real. And one day in the future, when both of us are spiritually ready, my eyes will meet yours again. I refuse to believe that the one person who is every hope i’ve ever had in human form, is gone for good.

““I compare him to you a lot,” she says, a smile growing on her lips. “The way he looks at me, you never looked at me like that. Like I was something precious, something to cherish. You never listened, you’d brush away my views and opinions and insist you were right. He doesn’t. He listens, takes in my view and respects it. You never held me like he does. You’d make it seem like a chore, something you had to do. He takes my hand when I don’t expect it, pulls me close and kisses me like he can’t stop himself.” Her smile is beaming, but it’s not for him. Not anymore. “I compare him to you a lot because now I see how bad you were for me. I thought I was happy with you, but now I know I am so much happier with him than I ever was with you.””

Their eyes don’t remind you of chocolate or the sky, and their presence doesn’t make your heart skip an extra beat. They just become a person who loved you a little less than you loved them.”
