I am not perfect. We are not perfect. Yes, I am skinny but I have belly rolls. I have cellulite. I have ingrown hairs. I have stretch marks & guess what? This is the healthiest and happiest I have been with my body. All my life I was called “too skinny” or was told “you need to eat a burger” or “chicken legs” etc. and was body shamed without people realizing it because “well I’m not calling her big?” Meanwhile, I would cry and get jealous every time I saw a woman who has a figure to her, or thick muscular legs, or a big butt, have some dimension and curvature to her like I lacked my entire life. & now that I’m 28, and I’m growing and changing and my body isn’t the way it used to be, I’m supposed to think that I’m not attractive because I’m not a size 00 anymore? Or I’m not pretty because my body fluctuates like the weather? Nah, we grow. We change. We stay the same. We change again. I was created wonderfully and beautiful made and SO WERE YOU. Be kind to yourself, you deserve it. Don’t compare your “worst” to someone’s “best” // you are so loved. Change your narrative. Stop believing the lies you tell yourself that you’re too much of this and not enough of that.
