The way I organized my thoughts was by storylines/relationships from the ones I care about least to most… sorry, not sorry but Schmico is last 🙈

Maggie/Jackson

Although their storylines have been kind of meh lately for me, tonight included. I am glad Maggie decided to stand up for herself today, she shouldn’t have to change her self for somebody else. As far as the cliffhanger goes I’m not really invested so we’ll see what happens, but I’m not worried either way.

Meredith/Andrew

I get why he did it and in a way it’s romantic, but I think it’s extremely stupid that he is risking his career for her. I am glad that she is going to face the consequences of her actions. I am not sure where they’re going to take this, but since they just got renewed for two more seasons I’m sure if she goes to jail it won’t last too long.

Teddy/Amelia

Yes, I know this isn’t a relationship. I do want to say I would love to see a friendship between these two women in the future. The chemistry between the yes, I know this isn’t a relationship. I do want to say I would love to see a friendship between these two women in the future. The chemistry between Caterina and Kim was off the charts. I just want to see these two interact outside of Owen or the kids.

Amelia/ Link

I am happy that Amelia looked inwardly and realized things about herself. I’m even more happy that she’s actually communicating with Link her feelings. My hope is that he gives her a tiny bit of space so that she can find herself and fully get over Owen, but also I love these two together so I hope that they pull through and stay together.

Teddy/Owen/Tom

Much like Jackson and Maggie, I am not here for the Teddy and Owen relationship. In fact the only scene I liked in this episode between them is where they named their baby Allison (correct me if I’m wrong but was Allison Teddy’s best friend that died before she joined the Military?). I am absolutely heartbroken for Tom right now, he is being so sweet… I just hope that he fights for her and shows her that he can bring that spark too. He deserves better than a love triangle where he’s on the outside looking in.

Jo/Alex

I ADORED Jo in this episode, how she was able to finally look inwardly at herself to know that a) she could buckle down and be the badass surgeon she is, but also that when she’s done with that she knows she’s not okay and she needs help. I get why Jo didn’t want to tell Alex herself, this is the person she loves the most in this world and to admit something so devastating, but also kind of embarrassing from her point of view (like she might not think she’s worth his love because her father was such scum). Even though it’s devastating that they had to admit her to psych, I’m glad that they are finally moving forward and facing things together.

Ps I love this line Link said to Jo, “ 20 minutes east of here the fog is so thick no one can drive through, but here right outside it’s sunny. So I’m saying the sun is going to shine again, you just have to get 20 minutes east of wherever you are.“

Drum roll please….. the moment we’ve all been waiting for! I am going to group these by Nico scenes, Levi scenes and each of the Schmico scenes are getting their own paragraph! With out further ado let’s get into this.

Nico Scenes

I have really been liking Link lately, he has been trying to give Nico room, hoping it will help and even giving him this patient (not because he wants Nico to babysit them) hoping that being there for something truly incredible will make him realize that good things happen too. I definitely think he needed the tough love as well, because nothing else has been working. My heart broke for Nico in those scenes though, because he has built these walls up so thick that nothing is breaking through, just that anger and it’s so sad to watch. In those scenes I just wanted him to be happy. I am glad that he let the fact that it was a miracle sink in though, because I feel like that helped him realize that he’s not okay and that he needs to start to break down those walls to feel better.

Levi Scenes

I was so impressed with the way Levi handled the situation with Frances, he took his prior knowledge of how she dealt with this stress and reacted in the perfect way. He comforted her in a way that also comforted him when he was younger and I just thought that was so sweet. Levi is continuing to come into his own as a surgeon and as a person and I am all here for it.

Schmico Scene 1

I would like to preface this and say, I loved the last scene but this one might actually be my favourite scene of the night. That I miss you, the Nico’s voice starts to break at the end shows that maybe just maybe he can start to break down those walls, I don’t think I’ve ever heard Nico Kim sound more vulnerable then that one line and let me tell you I’m here for it. Levi standing up for himself and realizing even just for a second that what he’s worth warmed my heart, and Nico’s trademark smirk came back for that second and meaty turned to mush again! I’m glad that Nico vocalized to Levi that he isn’t annoying and he does deserve better, because it gives him something to grasp onto when it comes to moving forward. I love that they are actually communicating and that Nico started to admit these things to himself. I have two more thoughts about this interaction. Firstly, how Levi was so surprised and taken aback when Nico said he was jealous. Like as far as he has come with accepting himself and the growth of realizing what he is worth, literally 30 secs prior he was saying how he deserved more. It just shows us that he has a ways to go still and that is just so human and endearing. The last thing I noticed and I sure the same sentiment as Levi, was the sigh of relief when Nico said that he wants Levi’s help, and he wants to be better. I am so proud of Nico for looking inside of himself and being vulnerable enough to let someone help him, because I’m sure it wasn’t easy.

Schmico Scene 2

I want to start out by saying I am so proud of Levi, as much build up that there probably was for him and as scary as it was, he knew that their relationship was worth it. I loved his mom’s reaction, like obviously the initial shock was evident but she took it in stride and looked so happy for her son by the time she went upstairs. My thought on the Nico tear was that he was so overwhelmed with how proud he was of Levi, and probably touched that he came out to his mom just like that. I wish I could put into words how happy/proud I am that Levi was so strong to be able to come out to his mom :)
