new territory by Brooke Shaden Via Flickr: I laid in bed this New Year’s morning and thought, “I don’t feel like getting up”. I couldn’t let that be my first thought of the new year. The choices we make define us. I pushed the thought away and instead got out of bed, found a costume and props, and drove in the dark to the desert. I created an image that I had no idea how to put together. I adopted the old familiar but too-often-lost playfulness that image-making allows us, willing to fail as much as to succeed.
