Human Alvin and the Chipmunks! I got inspired because I saw a clip of the episode from the 80s cartoon called “Big Dreams”. Alvin and Brittany as adults had these really cute outfits that got me inspired. I was also inspired by Chipmunks on 16 Speed(Sludgefest) and the Beach Boys with their history. Many bands(rocknroll groups specifically) were popular during the 60s, but by the time the late 70s and 80s became unpopular. The same thing happened to the Alvin and the Chipmunks where they were in limbo in 70s and then revived the brand when they released Chipmunk Punk(this is a simplification). Also my love for big 80s hair and makeup that I want to get better at drawing.
So in this au the boys become a popular boy band during the 60s, the novelty wears off by the 70s, and then they release their album Chipmunk Punk become which brings them back into stardom
The Chipettes start underground, but become instant hits especially with the help of their music videos. So the two bands compete for top of the charts
