It was a usual day on the rally stage, and nice weather for racing too. Grizzy arrived early, with enough time for recce, adjusting pace notes a bit more, and talking among his team.

"The weather isn't going to turn bad while we're here, is it?" Grizzy questioned.

One of his mechanics laughed, "Thankfully not! I hate working in the rain."

Another person clapped them on the back, an armband denoting that they were an engineer of the team, "You still have to do your job though."

"Yeah..." Mechanic A muttered that and something else, but it wasn't clear even with their tone of voice.

Grizzy smiled at the engineer that was with them, "We're glad to have you here."

His co-driver nodded, sitting nearby with the pacenotes book in their lap.

Then, one of the competitors came up to the barrier around their service tent. "Have you seen Smitty's team?"

Grizzy was perplexed by the question, having not expected that someone would come over and ask the team if they did or didn't. "No, what's up?"

"He only has the Gamer Supps sponsor on his racing suit and car!"

"That's insane."

"I know, right? Have a look for yourself!"

Grizzy glanced over to one side of the service area, seeing the blue, yellow, red and white of his friend and mentor's rally car.

In fact, it was true that there was only the Gamer Supps sponsor on their livery. At least one logo for each side, multiple different flavors displayed throughout, and even some advertising for his own code here and there.

Yet, he had no idea how Smitty's race suit would look with just the Gamer Supps logo on it.

On the other side of the barriers in Smitty's team, they were murmuring about something on the opposite side to where Grizzy was viewing from. He decided not to stare for any longer, and instead turn back to his team.

A different mechanic was astonished at the display that they had no idea how Smitty got to do, "I can't believe he only has Gamer Supps as a sponsor, for a rally like this as well. What's going to happen if he ruins the car?"

"He'll pull it off." Mechanic C told them... With moderate confidence.

Mechanic B shrugged, "I guess you're right, he's a highly known driver that drives well."

Mechanic C smiled, "Exactly."

The engineer snapped their fingers to get the team's attention, "The first stage is going to happen soon. Focus up, team!"
