DEATH / FOOL

and  o’  how  the  fool  laughs  ;  her  expression  jolly  and  upbeat  as  she  surrenders  the  empty  food  bowl  before  her.  the  extra  large  ramen  gone  ,  with  only  the  broth  left  over  and  the  crumbs  of  the  appetizers  the  only  proof  of  its  existence.  her  stomach  full  and  her  taste-buds  both  appeased  and  content.  (  the  special  was  extra  delicious  today  ,  but  then  again  she  supposed  she  was  rather  hungry  ).  she  had  skipped  lunch  earlier  to  catch  up  with  some  assignments.  a  natural  smile  unfolds  as  her  fingers  pull  back  the  loose  strand  of  her  hair.  

          ❝  i  sorta  skipped  lunch  ,   ❞  she  impishly  confesses  ,  ❝  and  it  was  so  good  i  simply  couldn’t  help  it !  but  please  continue  eating  at  your  own  pace  okay  ?  ❞

         ❝  ——  maiko  chan  ,  ❞  the  crimson  fool  finds  herself  greeting  ;  a  soft  smile  naturally  blossoming  onto  her  lips  as  auburn  brows  raises  themselves  high.  head  tilts  neatly  to  the  side  ,  and  she  kneels  before  the  child.  her  attention  etch  onto  the  eagerness  of  maiko’s  tone  as  she  points  at  her  teeth  with  much  beaming  pride.  (  she was  growing  up  ,  a  step  closer  to  becoming  a  big  girl  )  and  for  that  minako  couldn’t  help  but  reveal  an  amused  sound  of  laughter.  

she  does  not  remember  her  childhood  as  well  as  she  would  like  ,  nor  can  she  recall  the  moment  she  lost  her  own  front  teeth.  however  ,  she  had  hope  she  was  just  as  vibrant  and  lively  of  a  mood  as  maiko  chan  currently  is.  ❝  that’s  wonderful  ,  i  am  so  happy  for  you  !  don’t  forget  to  leave  them  behind  your  pillow  and  maybe  a  toothfairy  might  appear. ❞

hunger  speaks  true  and  her  stomach  cannot  help  but  growl  alongside  internal  rhythm.  slender  arms  drape  over  lower  abdomen  and  she  waits  for  hermes  to  make  his  return  with  their  separate  order.  she  was  treating  today  ,  after  all.  it  was  only  fair  that  he  would  be  the  one  jumping  through  hoops  and  frankly  she  was  just  too  hungry  to  bother  with  anything  else.  (  although  she  has  a  feeling  that  he  was  just  as  hungry  as  her  )  ,  both  of  them  originally  missing  lunch  to  catch  up  on  some  assignments.  mitsuru  would  be  proud  ,  but  it  definitely  came  at  a  greater  cost.  turning  her  attention  to  the  upcoming  meal  ,  the  crimson  leader  can  only  smile  in  exchange.
