“I would appreciate the help,” he said in a sleepy voice. It was exhausting to go most days with very little or no sleep lately. He shut the door behind her when she entered and led her to the kitchen.
Everything in the apartment was so bare. There were very few belongings to be found anywhere. In the kitchen there were a minimal amount of appliances and from the still open cupboard there were barely any glasses and dishes to be seen. Off to the side was a rather small dining table with only two chairs and in the corner was the broom and dust pan next to the trashcan.
Since it was a small one bedroom apartment he didn’t have much a living area either. There was just a couch and a simple bookcase.
“I’m sorry if I’m causing you any inconvenience,” he said, bowing his head slightly.
☾ ema bessho } - The poor boy looked exhausted, so she was especially glad that she’d been allowed in with no resistance. She’d hate to force the kid into letting her exercise that tiny protective instinct she was growing...
That said, his apartment really was bare, and not in the minimalist-by-choice sense that Ema favoured. In fact, the place didn’t feel homely at all. She couldn’t even see any photos or anything personal that would indicate more about Yusaku’s personality or what he liked. It was honestly a little sad.
But... she’d come in to help out a little, so went to get the boy a new drink and then the dustpan to clean up the shattered glass. “ Now, you go sit down on the couch with that, and I’ll fix this up for you. ”
“ It’s no trouble at all. If you’re this tired, I’d rather you didn’t have to deal with this stuff - you could get hurt, y’know ? ”
