I’m leaving the RP community simply because I just don’t feel happy here anymore. It’s really not anyone’s fault, things happen, things change, and I certainly haven’t been in a good place (physically and mentally) to think up grand adventures for everyone to participate in. Or be in a positive enough place to keep threads going.

I had contemplated deleting all my accounts, but that’d just be a waste. So instead, consider all the following blogs archived:

What happens to them in-game? idk, use your imagination. They died, they left, they’re in the background, I don’t really care.

If I have any lingering threads with you, I’m sorry, but they’ll need to be ended. Relationships with them? It’s really up to you. Maybe they drifted apart, maybe something happened, again, it’s up to you.

It was great while it lasted, but I think I’ve beaten this horse to death. I’ve done some thinking and I have uses for these guys in the far-flung future. For what, I can’t say. But the plans are there.

On my fandom:I suppose there’s the good and bad, like most fandoms. I’m lucky I saw mostly the good side and very little of the bad. I will say it’s a lot better than a couple of others I’ve been in.

On OCs:Well that’s really the reason why I’m here! A really good/clever/interesting portrayal of a canon character is a challenge, but I like how OCs can take on entire lives of their own, without being dictated by what’s already been established in canon. It’s a lot more fun to sort of be there and watch them develop and grow.There’s a LOT that can be explored in the TES universe (even the writers themselves encouraged said exploration), and I feel the best way all these differently weird and wild aspects of Tamriel can be explored is with an OC.On your character:I don’t know, I’m always very self-critical when it comes to my work, and my characters get the brunt of it. Alrek was really my first foray into really exploring MORE of what Tamriel had to offer and cement that love for Western Tamriel.

And you know, the Bretons (nobles esp) are always portrayed as these sly, sneaky, clever plotting fiends with questionable lifestyle choices, and I was disappointed we never really got to see ANY of that in the ‘modern’ TES games. So hence, Alrek. I really love that aspect of Breton culture, it seemed a lot of fun to explore, so... here he is.

I’m sure if put in the right hands Alrek would make for a much more interesting character but.. oh well.

On your own writing:It’s not great...? Much as I try to keep it punchy and readable, I’ve gotten comments that I’m uh... really not as good as I think I am :p

Goofy:Alrek’s pretty relaxed when he’s getting down and dirty with someone. He usually doesn’t get this intimate with someone he can’t be silly with in the first place, so this is usually the time when he can be more playful and humorous. A lot of his partners would comment that he smiles a lot when they’re in bed with him.

Hair:Alrek’s not a particularly hairy person, so he’s got fine, straight, sparse hair to begin with. That alone means he doesn’t have to do much upkeep to keep him looking presentable. He shaves to keep things neat, a little trimming, but that’s about the extent of it.

Intimacy:Alrek is a sap when it comes to having sex with someone, though he won’t admit it as openly. The kind of connection that comes with the act is special to Alrek. A lot of nobles in High Rock are guarded, and for good reason (hello, assassins) so for Alrek to be that vulnerable to someone, it’s got to be a relationship that counts.

Having said that, Alrek may be giggly and playful during the moment, there’s a part of him deep down that takes it very personally. He doesn’t handle one night stands very well, and he likes cuddling. It’s usually here he’ll be whispering some very sincere words to his partner, and it’s also usually during sex where he’ll admit a lot of problems, insecurities, feelings, etc.

Aftercare: Alrek normally likes to clean himself off, so a relaxing bath is usually the order of the day. Helps bring him down from the excitement of the events prior and it’s super nice to snuggle up to his partner when he does. Alrek views sex very much as a way to bond with someone very closely, so he takes the moments after very deliberately and carefully.

Location:Alrek has a very vanilla view on sex. Though he’s had trysts in libraries and other “exciting” places, Alrek is only ever comfortable in a bedroom. It doesn’t matter if it’s his, his partner’s or a rented one at the inn, there’s nothing more comforting than the supposed privacy a bedroom provides.

Risk:Not really. If Alrek goes to bed with someone, it’s usually the result of helpless attraction. And when it does happen, Alrek normally likes to stick to a very boring routine. That isn’t to say he isn’t game to trying something new, he has, but he never enjoys it as much. 

After all, their family was built on a legacy of honor and loyalty, “I will give my life for the crown and see our people prosper.” Saint Jacqueline is a constant source of patriotic one liners, chanted during days of celebration and during victories of war.

But they did not take the sigil of the dragon because they’re pretty. But rather,  because they are just as proud and ruthless as them. People think of them as noble and beautiful, but these are the same noble and beautiful creatures who will call upon the planes of Oblivion to rid of them of rivals. Creatures who would no sooner slain a father, “For the safety of all, why cry over the sacrifice of one?”

Alrek, you’ve some explaining to do.

I heard a quaint little rumor that you’ve gone and got yourself involved with a member of the Thieves Guild. A member who is very important-- I’m hoping neither of these are true. This puts us in a very dangerous position; the Thieves’ Guid, really? Not only have you become a mark for these unscrupulous people, but that association means House Allard is implicit in whatever mischief they’re up to. Dig yourself out of this one, dear brother, for our family’s sake.

And to make matters worse, Marguerite Frey has heard that her uncle is within that very same guild. She doesn’t believe him dead. A contact of mine sent word from a Maven Black-Briar that this would not stir up any unpleasantries within the courts of Daggerfall, but her letter to me stinks of cheap blackmail and self-indulgent cleverness.

I won’t be pushed around by some second rate noble glutting herself off of corruption. Put an end to this, Alrek.

Name: Marjolene Allard

Gender: Female

General Appearance: Thin, slender and tall. She adopted some of the more Altmeri traits in the Allard line, but earned a darker shade of red for her hair. Freckles terribly, has a golden complexion.

Personality: Bright, lively, vivacious. She’s all smiles and radiates sunshine wherever she goes. The sort of person everyone wants to be friends with.

Special Talents: Oddly, Destruction magic, though she turns it more into an art form or something to be wielded as a form of entertainment, rather than hurting others.

Who they like better: Her maman. Father is far too strict, too concerned on image and work. She suspects he’d work day after day and even when he falls over and passes away, he’d still be working.

Who they take after more: Dust, naturally. Though she also inherits a lot of Alrek’s tendencies to tell lame jokes and puns.

Personal Head canon: Is a very talented rider, and has the voice for singing, but prefers to frolic about in the woods with her horse, Princess.
