I am not sure how many of you are aware of the situation happening in Poland as I write this post. Perhaps my reach on this site is not too vast, but I want to use what I can to share this information. I don’t even know where to begin and, to my Polish sisters, if I get any information wrong, please let me know. On October 22nd, the Polish (un)Constitutional Tribunal through its ruling (bypassing the parliamentary vote) banned abortion in cases of severe foetal defects and the ruling party is now working towards banning abortions in cases of rape. Polish government has long been under the influence of the catholic church and this influence is only growing stronger, to the point in which Poland is basically beeing ruled by the clergy it seems. The politicians outright state that giving birth to a child which will be dead in hours/days will not have any negative effects on the mother (and parents in general). One lunatic has also stated that a woman could sell the child conceived from rape. Jarosław Kaczyński, the man actually pulling the strings in the ruling party, called the people to protect the churches from the protesters. They are not going to stop now - right now they are coming for us women, tomorrow they will hunt you. They have and are already trying to pursue the GRSM people and are calling us an ideology instead of people, trying to dehumanize us.

Right now they are painting us as the offenders, calling us fascists - apparently, we are a threat to people, a threat to families and the idea of the perfect family, we are a real threat to the police (attacks on the police actually happened several times in several cities in different circumstances - sometimes in self defence, I am not going to hide that). From today onwards, the military is going to be involved. They are trying to use everything we do and say as we are this fucking angry to paint us as the monsters, and to be honest, we are sick of that.

I will literally never get over it. I will quite literally be bitter about it for the rest of my life.

You know, there was a time, when I loved how there were women in Game of Thrones who exercised their power in different ways. That there was Margaery, who was about diplomacy and alliances and playing the long game, who wanted to bring prosperity and abundance. And Arya, who maybe was of a smaller built and brought up to be a lady, but learned to fight and use her agility and speed. And Brienne, who wanted to be a knight and who didn’t fit standards of femininity at all and stopped giving a damn about that. And Sansa, who was trapped in the lion’s den with no allies, but learned from the ones who oppresed her and outsmarted them. And Daenerys. Who was a leader. Who found yourself in a different culture, among the people whose language she didn’t know, as a child, and who was betrayed or hurt at some point by her husband, her brother, Jorah - people, who were there at the beginning. And yet she still gave them second chances, and she was compassionate to the people she met. She freed herself, and she wanted to go on and free others. And yes, she wanted to be a queen, to carry on her ancestors legacy, but making it right. And yes, she made mistakes, she caused death, as almost anyone in the show. But before the unfamous and of season 8, she tried to limit pain and death at her road to the throne as much as she could.

Yes, she wanted to be a queen, unapologetically, and said it loud. How dare she. And she was a leader, and a conqueror, and a ruler, and a diplomat. She almost always could negotiate or even win over people, unless they were completely biased against her from the beginning. 

So,I know that this show was supposed to be cruel from the beginning. And there was a lot of death and pain and betrayal along the way. As I said, I would have even coped with it if she died a tragic death. But that? Complete destruction of the character in a few episodes? Because, no matter how much they talked about apparent seeds they planted, which were bullshit, they simply didn’t have the balls to even really start Daenerys’ “descent to madness” earlier. Because they knew how much people loved her, looked up to her. How much promotion show got through her. So they exploited her as long as they could have, and then, when she wasn’t needed anymore, dumped her in a trash. 

And you know what? As I mentioned, I loved Sansa and Brienne and Arya too. But I feel like we had many stories with a badass, tough girl, who is not like the other girls you know. Or stories of women, who were in difficult situation but survived and kind of wormed their way into power. But a story of a woman, who had nothing, and yes, she also survived and had to be cunning and charming to get some power over time, but didn’t stop at this? But went on, gathered the armies loyal to her, captured the hearts of her allies and destroyed the ones who got in her way? Who had a vision, who wanted a change, worked tirelessly to achieve it and wasn’t scared to take risks? Who didn’t want to hide in the shadows anymore, but who wanted to stand proud and lead, the same way as men do?

I don’t think that there are many stories like that. 

And I’m so angry, that they teased us that story, made us believe in it, love it, only to twist it completely in a few episodes, telling that we were probably evil for cheering her too, because she’s literal Hitler. 

Ferrai has this bullshit agreement that if you buy one of their cars new off the lot, you have to sign a contract saying you basically don’t own the car and have to uphold their brand standards with it.

The drivers have to be SUPER supportive and dedicated and can never say car is bad, even when it’s bad. Okay, maybe it’s a bit more lenient nowadays, but Enzo Ferrari was VERY prickly about it. You could never say anything wrong in public about the car. 

When Red Bull was winning in F1, Luca Montezemelo, the Ferrari boss then, was making fun of the time of Red Bull being a fizzy drink producer and complained that they are winning because their cars have great aerodynamics and that engine should more important. A few years later, makes a way better engine. 

Recently the F1 team is such a mess, it’s crazy. They get a new team boss like every two years. Established drivers’ careers get ruined there. 

Oh, and also Ferrari has some quite toxic fanbase. I mean, of course there are plenty normal ones and there’s nothing wrong with liking Ferrari, it’s just never a  driver is being booed as much as the non-Ferrari driver who wins the Italian GP.

Show!Jon: Well, it really makes me happy, but...

Book!Jon: There is no "but"! She is your heart, Snow! MY heart! I've broken my vows because of her...

Show!Jon: You have done what?!

Book!Jon: I've started a war to win her back, seven hells, Snow, I died to save her, and everything, everything you say is "I tought Arya was dead"?! Are you serious?!
