Blackout poetry from Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
Through the glass,
The remnants of a crack.
In winter sunlight,
A terrible bruise.
But it hadn’t stopped him.

“Yeah, sorry, that’s some weird wizard guy who keeps trying to get me to go on a quest or something. You can just toss it.”

Anyone can wear the mask. You can wear the mask. If you didn’t know that before, I hope you do now.
Miles Morales in Into The Spider-Verse (2018)
the issue begins & ends in my head. i wouldn’t call my imagination overactive so much as overeager; i wouldn’t call it my imagination so much as my reprieve. i’m starting to think day- dream is just another way to spell absence. i blink & my nails have been torn jagged. blink again & find myself spitting petals like blood. remember: time is an illusion. don’t worry about the missing days or stalled clocks. we debate existence in physics & i imagine gravity slowly loosening its hold, my atoms unraveling until they dissolve into wind. the unwelcome truth is that awareness feels too much like penance: discordant & guilty. frankly, my dear, i’d rather float away.

Blackout poetry from Radio Silence by Alice Oseman
Do you remember
The road behind the school?
Cigarettes
Under the stars,
Brave and careless.
Tell me what to do.
Make my decisions for me.
I’m waiting to care.
I am confused
Under the stars.
If we die,
I’ll meet you there.
LISTEN I ONLY DO UNETHICAL MAGIC IF ITS REALLY FUNNY
