manon was getting violent threats, with people saying they were going to jump her and beat her after a concert, i’m not sure if hybe put out a statement but im sure we would’ve heard something from them, right?

and having scooter braun as their manager just makes shit a thousand times worse. he sided with kanye during the “beef” with his OWN CLIENT taylor swift. he also took ownership of taylor swift’s first SIX albums, ones she didn’t even get a chance to take for herself. imagine the split between six members, crew, and his company. i doubt they’re gonna make the proper pay off their albums (as well as being under a greedy company like hybe, it won’t let them see the more western style of full length albums)

not only this, but i’ve seen a short essay on tt explaining how hybe is commodifying racism. they purposely choose advertisement that shows the diversity as the product. i mean the gap ad right after sydney sweeney’s subliminally supremacist american eagle ad. (i’m not saying they had planned for hers to be racist) but if i was in the boardroom and it came out—id say “let’s get the most “diverse” group of people we can find”

so when they see this complexional diversity within the group they see THAT as the product, take for example the season’s greetings. they portrayed manon as lazy and uncaring, a negative stereotype of black women, the “welfare queen”. therefore framing this hiatus as simply her being lazy *cough cough mr avanzini…*, thus making more people talk about the group by staying quiet about the racist allegations thrown to the company. i mean if they had all these celebrities talking about manon and the group…is that not attention?

when you have a group tied so closely with their cultural backgrounds, its hard to separate them. so rather than the normal mean/bully allegations towards daniela, people are ready to throw the white-washed/fake latina shit at her.

i said it before, “complexional diversity”, i’m all for the various ranges of skin tones in this group, peep lara providing representation for darker skinned indian women, im down for that. but what after that?

you’re marketing this group to younger people (kids game collabs, silly music videos, etc) while also having the girls throw ass on stage for the nickelodeon KIDS choice awards (which is a mess when it comes to the concept of appropriate music), letting manon & lara perform questionable poses on stage.
