He also acquired some more clothes and a suitcase to put them in. The day after he awoke, he shocked himself by accidentally manipulating and freezing over a small pond. Throughout the days, he experimented with his new-found power, and learned what he could do with it. Not understanding who or what the Avengers were, and not even knowing the concept of mutations, he continued to follow the instructions, and after a few days, found himself standing outside Stark Tower.

After this, Nick threw himself into his work... And numerous other women. By the time he graduated with a top PhD last summer, he’d wowed the Professors enough for them to agree to send him on an important dig in India, when they got the money together… And now he waits.

On the surface, they succeeded, but under the pressure of being SHIELD’s first protégé, he continued to crack, killing innocents by night. When Loki arrived to claim Earth, he brainwashed Alec using his sceptre, but Alec remained loyal long after the magic wore off, utterly taken in by Loki’s plans and manner, although he professed to be sorry for his actions once Loki was captured and sent back to Asgard. Using his mental link with his children and bringing them all to one place, the place of his banishment, Azazel was able to open a portal to the brimstone dimension. Before he could finish, the X-Men arrived and a fight ensued with the X-Men being trapped in Azazel's dimension. With the help of Polaris and Azazel, all the X-Men escaped back to the real world. In doing so, he constantly clashed with Iron Man, but eventually began to resent his status, and appealed to the Avengers for a reform, which Tony Stark greatly supported. He then became a high ranking member of the Avengers due to his skills.

When he was 11 Gina locked him in the back yard, with the chore of weeding the garden, for not having the “right look” on his face during lunch. While in the garden shed, rooting around for a weeding tool, the door was blown shut by the wind and managed to get stuck. With the temperature steadily rising and Dax becoming more and more thirsty, he blacked out. When he awoke, he was shocked to find that he had turned into a fox, and was able to get out of the shed via a small hole in the back wall. Soon after this, while in school, his best friend was being beaten up by the two school bullies, and, in a fit of blinding rage, he shifted into his fox form and attacked them. He returned home that day to find a Government Official talking to Gina about offering him a place at a school for genius’. She signed him up straight away, and while on the way to his normal school for the last time, he was kidnapped and thrown in the back of a lorry, where the same Government Official sat. After he was knocked out with a special gas, and forced to change into a fox again, it was explained to him that the school for genius’ was in fact a school for specially gifted children. The “COLA Club” (Children Of Limitless Ability) had over a hundred pupils with abilities ranging from psychics, to illusionists, to mediums, but had only one shapeshifter; him. In his first year at the COLA Club, he discovered his principal using a type of illusion to charm the entire faculty and student body into listening to and doing everything he said, almost like slaves. After finding out that the principal was intending to kill a reporter who had trained her sights on Dax, and after saving said reporter, he and the principal fought; him in fox form, and the principal with a gun. Dax was lucky enough to escape with just an injured leg, whereas the principal managed to fall down a 300ft mineshaft. His next few years at the COLA Club heralded many adventures for Dax and his friends. Including; his best friend finding out that he has a brother and a sister; saving said brother from said murderous sister; going on the run from the government, school dances ending in balls of fire, and his best friend’s murderous sister working with one of the COLA Club teachers in an attempt to sell the members of the COLA Club to different countries. In his last year he found out that he and the other COLA’s biological mothers were from another planet, and had gone to earth as an offer of help; becoming pregnant and giving birth to a half alien child, despite the fact that they new they would die within 5 years and never see the children grow up. Deciding he needed a change of scene, as soon as he left the COLA Club, he made his way over to America, though every so often, he flies back over to visit his father or his school friends.
