I think it's hella funny how most of the time and in most works (from what I've seen), Ace is portrayed as the reckless one that "needs tempering down" and Sabo is the responsible, calm one, always pulling him back. And don't get me wrong, I love me some responsible Sabo, shit's hot as fuck, but Sabo is canonically a MENACE. Koala is always chastising him over his recklessness. Sure he probably wouldn't get ragebaited as easily as Ace, but he's just as much of a feral alley cat as he is. Maybe more so?

And it's honestly one of the things I love about this duo so much. Like they match each other's freak every time and so beautifully it's surreal.

That's exactly how I see them too for SURE. I think Ace is a hot head, naturally, and very reckless, but moreso when he thinks it's necessary to defend people. We see it ALL the time in canon that the only times he ever does things exceedingly reckless or spontaneous, it's when someone he cares about is in danger or insulted (we see that like three times when he protected Luffy, and of course the instance with Whitebeard, we even see it in the Ace Novel when he's protecting Deuce and decending Isuka). He's also extremely proud of his abilities and how strong he is, so he's the kinda guy who will get in a fight just to show off (like with Squard and even a little with Jinbei). Or if it's deemed a necessary evil (like with Blackbeard). His recklessness is calculated.

Meanwhile Sabo is a fucking feral psycho who will bite as a warning and hunts government officials for sport. He can reign it in, kind of, to do his job, but even when he's working if he sees an opportunity to go off he absolutely will (like in dressrosa).

Ace can be ragebaited, but Sabo is ALWAYS. ANGRY. So it's harder to calm him down when he let's loose.
