okay so before you go ahead spoilers for bug fables chap4!! trust me dont read if you havent played (this is about a fanfic i might make btw its worth the read)

ive always imagined vi to care WAY more about the people in the underground tavern than she lets on. like, obviously she cares about them a little more than she says she does—after all, she pretends to be arrogant towards them, but i always took her dialogue towards them as more playful than she means to show. but ive always seen them as a found family, at least some of them.

from what we could tell, those in the underground tavern seemed to have not even been perceived by the wasps. which, in most ways makes sense. and i love going through the latter half chapter four, imagining vis dread as she looks at everyone that was evacuated from the kingdom, praying that her favorite group of people (besides leif and kabbu) were safe, only to get complete relief seeing theyre alright and hearing that they didn’t even know there was an attack.

but what if they had been found? what if the wasps left no stone unturned, trying to find some secret vault that could hold the artifacts? a bunch of wasps wouldnt care about a password to come in, not during an invasion. theyd just enter, absolutely whoop anyone there, (maybe besides stratos and delilah holy shit that battle is HARD,) and leave when they found nothing. how would they get help, especially for those left in critical condition? who would be in critical condition? who would be the best person to get help from?
