Florence Pugh in ‘Running Wild with Bear Grylls’

Art deco, with hints of streamline modern and machine age modern, figured prominently  in Tim Burton’s interpretation of Gotham City in his 1989 rendition of Batman and Batman Returns in 1991. The art deco motif carried on in the animated series and in some Batman games. I really like how all three elements of deco, streamline and machine age modern all co exist in these examples. And as it applies to the fictitious Gotham City, they do so in a very shady, dark and mysterious way. I don’t know how to explain it, but I like it! :)
