"Frozen yogurt? You don’t have to tell me twice." He chuckled as he walked along side the dark haired girl on the street.

"Perfect," she said, smiling. "I'm glad we're on the same page," she added, following him down the street until they reached the frozen yogurt store.

"It was." Nik agreed. "Uhm, I got kicked out of my dorm." He joked. "My visa was only good until a graduated."

"That's terrible. The whole Visa system sucks sometimes."

"You studied aboard?" Nik asked interested. "I just returned from Japan." He further explained. "And I have to agree with you on that. Seeing the world from a different angle is enlightening."

"I did... It was breathtaking. And Japan?" she asked, curiosity spiked. "That must have been fantastic. What dragged you back here?"

"If you say so." He smiled, wrapping an arm around her. "Let’s go do something, anything you want."

"Anything?" she pondered, leaning into him and letting her arm wrap around his waist. "I think some frozen yogurt might hit the spot right now."

"I enjoy all books, but the ones you listed I do read. However, I prefer the works of scholars. I like to read things that will expand my mind. Give me knowledge."

"It's always interesting to learn new things. I actually studied abroad in Paris. The different books and world views were quite enlightening. Definitely a change from Mystic Falls."

"Me too." Nik agreed, feeling a little more at ease with the brunette. "What kind of books do you like?"

"I enjoy a lot of different kinds of books. Adventure, romance, comedy. I think my favorite would have to be fairy tales. The Grimm ones, though. What about you?"

"You can get anything you want, baby girl." Mackenzie bopped the younger girl’s nose as she reached out to grab the bread and other necessities. "You need something healthy too, remember? We have some grapes, apple slices, peaches, and chocolate covered strawberries. Wait no, that’s dessert." Her tone was smiley as she handed the sandwich over to the younger Lockwood.

Allison giggled as her mother tapped her on the nose. "Healthy? Peaches. I'll have some peaches. And then some chocolate covered strawberries for dessert. That sound good," she said, as she took her sandwich, digging in right away. "Mmmmhhh," she mumbled, mouth full.

"Yo-You like to read?" Nik asked with a little more enthusiasm, grateful to find someone who might be a little more like him. 

"Like is an understatement. I love to read," she said, smiling from ear to ear.

The Grill, I’m dying for a burger

Sounds great.

Nik released a smile chuckle at the girl’s joke and walked closer towards her. “Sorry, I tend to be what most people call a hermit.”

"You're not the only one," she reassured him. "I'm still not sure why I decided to leave my books today."

"Eventually he’ll see that I’m not that bad.”

"It may take time, but even if I have to force it into his brain, he'll see it. Don't worry."

"My dad doesn't me doing a lot of things. I'm still his little princess in his mind. He doesn't want anyone to corrupt me. I like you, though, and that's all that matters."

Oh Hi! It’s not to finally meet you. 

It's nice to meet you too... So, how have things been lately? With you, I mean.

It’s in the fine — hey let’s grab something to eat. If I go home without eating mum’s going fuss and baby me -he rolls his eyes- anyway I could use some Josh&Ali time.

Wonderful... Anyways, I'm hungry, too, and Josh & Ali time sounds great. Where shall we go?

Nope, it’s your job to tell me what an amazing brother I am.
