And the worst part is, when they get excited about smt, I actually try to match their energy but they don't do the same when I'm the one excited

You don’t have any responsibilities for their happiness, it’s not your job to make them happy 24/7 especially when you yourself aren’t happy.

And no, you’re not being dramatic, it’s completely normal for you to feel this way.

I had a similar situation back then and I decided to keep the friendship going, however I quickly became very drained and out of it. I haven’t seen them in a while but looking back, I’ve acted like I wasn’t interested in them before jumping to a new friend group and although we’re both are pretty happy right now I still feel guilty that our friendship could’ve ended more easily and less cold-hearted.

Getting back to the point, the situation can be very draining and sometimes it can lead you to make a regrettable decision but you have the choice to either confront them or let this continue. However if you do wish to let the situation continue, I hope you have the perseverance to get through it and settle the matter one way or another and I wish nothing but the best for you
