Alkas' Den

Life had been different, from getting out of Pride to escaping into Wrath, the locals had given the pair a great welcome, promises of kindness and protection, and to keep them safe. Striker had been a cornerstone in their community, the saloon had beneficiaries all across Wrath Ring with the money it brought in, helping communities and new businesses, causing those who could help in turn to feel lucky, especially when it was about love.

Striker had been worried about Alkas, knowing the life before would have a hard time being shed, and to know she'd wake up thinking she was still in the past, stuck in either the warehouse, or under the thumb of the Overlord. He'd give her all the time she needed, even forgoing the Roomba being used around the house.

The forwardness of her caught him off guard. He was surprised to see her comfortable, and the kisses, those that had the warmth and familiar texture, he'd lean in to give a bit of tongue into the kiss, the desire to taste her lips was always hard to deny himself when he got the chance.

"Morning~." He'd say once the kiss would break apart their lips, leaving a hot breath of breakfast in the air. Striker had already made some greasy bacon and eggs for her, and some pancakes if she wanted, though he knew well enough her preferences for greasy meals over lean ones.

Those promises of protection Alkas had been wary of from the beginning, but with each day she grew more comfortable. It was nice, not having to look behind her back and beginning to think that perhaps she had a normal life now. To think she was still a Sinner while living this life. It took some getting used to for sure. She had spent fifty years in Pride, surviving how she could and it would be a while until she fully shook that.

For now, an uncharacteristic smile held on her face, lips so recently pressed to Striker’s in that morning greeting. He had accommodated a lot for her, sometimes she still wondered why he put so much effort to keeping her of all people safe.

Did she even deserve this?

That lingering thought she tried not to focus on. Pulling from him and hearing his morning voice, her engine gave a delightful purr. Of course, she was still the spitfire of a hyena Sinner, but there was certainly a bit more ease about her. Being tamed, however, that much was left to be said.

“For fuckin’ once,” she responds on the topic of sleep, taking the second to stretch out. The clicks of her metal frame and breath of gasoline fumes were telltale of her, “Ready to chows down, I smells somethin' good.”

He watched intensely on the screen, from each angle there is on the rabbit sinner. Already noting down her powers, static interference with the visuals only directly on her face at times, electrical of nature for sure. Which made him look at her more than others.

He even has a screen just to cast the computer she is on to his own. Watching, every, single, thing.

"Close to fifty percent.. Give her the job and contract associated with her score." The CEO of VoxTek, has assessed her. A fine addition, a new arrival of Hell and she is working with a facade put up, that much was clear to him. Why she has one though. He'll be sure to find out, sooner or later.

Aware she was being watched, Kat kept her façade, knowing she was toying with danger with each little taunt. Just a subtle smile when the cameras tried to focus too much on her as she finished the test. To her, she had passed just barely, though, unaware, she had only managed half of them correctly. Maybe it was overconfidence, or she was underestimating them.

Either way, she smiled nervously as the worker came to direct her. That timid stance came once more, and a nervous walk as she made her way through the hallways once more. All through that test, she had not been brave enough to reach into their systems just yet. But every detail she could, she took note of, recorded herself. She was watching this place as much as she was being watched.

It would be like a fun little game.

Assuming that might be all they would have of her today, she expected to begin work soon and she was itching to. The tests were always the boring part leaving her with a sigh as she came into the empty office. Her attention veered to the window, walking over to peer out of it.

"Oh don't move around too much, else we might do something that could be bad for you." Vox says as he is tweaking on the console in front of him, screens showing the progress from different angles.

His little pet project..

"A little bit here.." He mouthed turning some dials and initiated the machine he has her hooked up in.

Zapp- "Oh my, actually turned out better for you this way. Haha!" Powering down the chamber, opening it with the smell of oil, slightly burnt. The static electricity one might get with hair standing on ends till it powered down fully. Leaving his little project free to come out now, improved even.

Alkas never thought he would go through with it. Her constant failures at being a delivery girl and her defiance left little room for her dwindling worth. The contract meant little if she could do nothing of value for him. It made it clear that something had to change.

It began small with tests of her abilities and examinations of how her body worked. It was invasive... feeling more like an object, a project to be built upon. Being a mechanical Sinner was found out quickly, the steel framework and alloy components underneath flesh and oil made up most of her. That engine heart had parts and pistons like any other.

They were outdated.

An upgrade needed to happen.

She was reluctant as always when she was opened up, like a machine to be dismantled and parts to be swapped out. Wiring and electronics were added in, compatible usually with the motorcycle she represented, and now altered for her body. The oil flowed more efficiently, her body felt more powerful-- her mind was sharper.

It was only the beginning. A vintage motorcycle slowly being converted to a modern ride. She idly wondered if this was what Vox did to himself, too.

A gasp left her, clutching at the edges of the chamber, freshly opened. The binds that held her in there were still dislodging, freeing her while the wire in the new circuit attached to her temple came free with a click and spark.

Her body shuddered at the feel of the electricity through the new components, and her engine hummed so much softer than it used to. A groan of pain left her, and she wobbled on her steps out, soon clutching her arms around herself, bare after the latest procedure.

“Perhaps I haven’t.” She leaned in way too closely, examining Alkas like a specimen under a microscope. “You’re even more submissive than I took you for.”

There's a twitch when Prin calls Alkas submissive, but there's a surprisingly uncharacteristic smirk that comes about instead of her usual huffy attitude. At least, uncharacteristic of what Prin has seen.

"Ams I?" She says with a purr of her engine, stepping closer as that sharp smell of gasoline is far thicker the closer she got. "I thinks ya missin' a part of that, sugar."

Where Prin wasn't wrong, Alkas tended to huff and blush at some touches. It was specific. The point began to be proven as she leaned closer to Prin, oil dripping down on her shoulder while her mouth drew close to her jawline.

"Ya ain't wrongs, Prinny," Alkas says with a chuckle, not phased too much by the suggestive words and even offers a nudge right back and a lean in.

The question leaves Floo paused, befuddled despite the attire she was now forced to wear, courtesy of Velvette. Mid licking her sucker, she somehow acquired, she's left with just a blep as she thinks.

Where the fuck was she supposed to be? Heck if she knew.
