Harper vc: HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!! Also where is her present, Pacey? She knows you didn’t come over to her house, moments before her sixteenth birthday, and DID NOT BRING HER A PRESENT.

These are the moments when I realize Harper and Pacey probably have an adorable friendship. Because he probably did bring her present. And probably teased her for a good twenty minutes before he let her have it.

The question of the hour...would Harper get wild with Dawson and Andi or not? I feel like Andi probably wouldn’t have given her a choice and just pointed out that Harper needed more rum in her (diet) coke too.

Yeah no. Harper ten thousand percent, during the events of this episode, was off helping Pacey. 

“You’re the expert writer here.” Jack, no. Harper begs you. Do not take writing advice from her brother. She’s the one that makes his scripts sound good. He’s got the ideas. The visuals. But her? She’s the wordsmith.

Harper’s just glad that movie night is a smidge less awkward. Though Joey...a key to it not being awkward is to STOP BRINGING UP HOW SURPRISINGLY WELL DAWSON IS DOING.

Also Harper agrees with the advice to stop seeing Sam as her. Hold on. DOES HARPER GET TO APPROVE WHO IS PLAYING HER COUNTERPART??? She would like to that, please.

Harper wants to sit at non of these lunch tables. OMG. She shall be spending her lunch period in the library.

Drue huffed deeply, his hair flopping into his eyes briefly. He didn’t want to end things with her. But Dawson had planted some true doubts in his mind about how below his twin Drue really was. “Look, I don’t want that, I really don’t. I just realized how much you deserve,” he admitted with a shrug. After an uncharacteristically humble stooping of his shoulders, he added, “I want you to have better.” For now, he withheld her brother’s reverse pep talk. Not like she’d believe her twin capable of such deceit anyway.

“yeah, ‘cause what kinda queen lives in the moors?” pacey squeezes a mustard bottle, topping off his double decker sandwich comprised of whatever he could find in the leery family fridge. he glances up at her from under his brows, presses his lips into a wry smirk. “y’know, harper, logic aside - and contrary to popular belief - i am known to actually listen now and again. occasionally i’m even guilty of remembering. you don’t have to look so shocked.”

“Don’t even start...” She reached over to grab a chip from the bag that lay between them, her own sandwich on a plate beside her. “You know I know you listen. I just also know I...well...ramble.” Especially when it came to her writing. “And when you’re dealing with faeries, the moors are entirely viable. A small faerie mound there out among the heather. But as we’ve already established that I set her in the woods...” She frowned, scribbling out the sentences she had just written.

“How many teenagers do you think talk like this?” Touche, Dawson’s writers. Touche.

Harper thinks her brother does not exactly know what “risky” or “edgy” means.

Harper wants to know why Jen got producer over her. She then realized that a) she is most likely credited as co-writer and b) she and Dawson have been arguing a lot becuase of the parentals.

Harper is definitely laying across some of the auditorium chairs like why...why are they all so bad at this.

Harper may be cackling over Jen calling her brother an old man. She moves they vote him the group Dad.

Why does Harper feel she’s getting dragged into this whole campaign thing...?

OH GOD. PARENTS ON THE KITCHEN TABLE. I just see Dawson, when he turns back around, pushing Harper away from the door like nope...you do NOT want to go in there.

I miss the 90s Urban Decay look so much.

Dawson talking to Jen about his emotions makes me realize Harper absolutely uses books and her writing as a means to not deal with shit. Like yes, she reads and writes because she loves it. And she can lay out by the water and read and have there be nothing wrong. But she’ll also lock herself away in her attic nook and write when she doesn’t feel like dealing with whatever is going on.

Pacey is not very good at movie night...tho Harper has to agree with him on Mr. Smith Goes to Washington. It’s kind of a snoozefest. Classic, but a snoozefest. Can she kidnap Pacey to come help her see how a duel would play out?

(Harper is ten thousand percent the person that were this set now, she would have a widely popular tik tok channel that was half book reviews and half her making videos in medieval dresses)

Harper would be thrilled to see her dad and then there would be crying when she realized he was fully moving out. How is this fair? Their mom is the one that fucked up. Why isn’t SHE moving out?

This guidance counselor seems less than helpful.

Harper has no doubt she is going to be tapped to help with that script.

Harper would ten thousand percent make Dawson stay for dinner at their dad’s new place. STOP BEING RUDE TO DADDY. He wasn’t the one fucking around.

And she’s probably going to be made to go to the party in retaliation. He stuck around with her, now she needs to go with him.

Harper is not sitting through movie night with her mom and Dawson. That’s just not happening. Harper is ten thousand being a brat about her parents’ divorce and she doesn’t care. (I also now desperately need someone to write Gayle and/or Mitch).

Harper may be the only person in that class not worried about the midterm. She’s got this.

You can’t tell me Harper wouldn’t have been tapped to lead the study session. Pacey most likely pointing out that Harper can recited several Shakespeare monologues by heart.

Dawson seems to be ahead on the points board. Harper would like some credit with that.

Oh the purity test. At this point I feel Harper’s purity would be fairly high.

Pretty sure by this time...Harper would be drunkenly reciting lines from Macbeth. Cause you know...everyone else is having relationship drama and she has the wine bottles.
