Davide Bonazzi is a freelance illustrator from Bologna, Italy. Davide aims to create clever visual solutions to represent complex topics, as well as narrative, witty images. His style combines digital media with textures of scanned found objects, in order to give his illustrations a warm and evocative atmosphere.

From the artist: I was inspired by a trip I took to New York City last year. I’ve always been fascinated by elderly people as subject of stories. Their slow, quiet way of living is all the opposite of the frenetic life most people live. By contrast, I tried to emphasize this quietness by setting the story in a big chaotic and crowded city, which could be NYC or another megalopolis. I wanted to illustrate the reactions of an elderly, quiet couple from a small town visiting the largest city of the country.
