Time for some actor trivia!
In the 1981 film Excalibur, the adult Mordred was played by Robert Addie.
In the 1984 TV film Morte D'Arthur, Mordred was played by Nickolas Grace.
That same year saw the debut of the TV show Robin of Sherwood, which ran until 1986, in which Robert Addie and Nickolas Grace appeared together as the recurring villains Guy of Gisburne and the Sheriff of Nottingham respectively.

The two would appear again in the 1998 TV miniseries Merlin, in which Grace played Sir Egbert and Addie played Sir Gilbert. (Fun fact: composer Trevor Jones did the score both for Excalibur and for Merlin).
Why am I pointing this out? Because Robin of Sherwood was one of my favourite TV shows ever (I got super into the legends of Robin Hood when I was ten), and seeing a clip of Robert Addie in Excalibur on YouTube got me curious about seeing the movie, which I now consider my favourite ever Arthurian film. The 1998 Merlin meanwhile, having first watched it at the tender age of around seven or so, was what got me into the Arthurian legends in the first place. So seeing these two actors recur in these pieces of media that made an impact on me and my interests is something I just find fascinating.
UPDATE 20/05/2025: I saw the 1984 Morte D'Arthur with Nickolas Grace about a couple months ago for the first time and it was an experience. The film's narration and dialogue are delivered by Thomas Malory, played by John Barton, in his cell, with the actions and visuals acted out silently by the film's other actors on stages and sets, so it's a sort of combination of dramatic monologue and silent film and ballet, and it's gloriously theatrical and I love it. All the narration and dialogue are straight out of Malory, and seeing it performed was a revelation for me and changed my view of Malory's prose. Also Judi Trott, who plays Marian in Robin of Sherwood, appears as one of the queens that first appears in Arthur's dream after Gawain's death, then later take Arthur to Avalon after the final battle. I literally exclaimed "Holy shit!" when I saw her and immediately went on imdb to see if my eyes deceived me, and they did not.
