First time he does it, Steve is just in their bedroom reading on the bed. Then Eddie comes barrelling in, just stands at the door and stares at him. He's here on a mission. He walks up to Steve who's trying to ask if he needs anything and suddenly slaps the square cheese onto Steve's face. A very loud SPLAT, and it sticks to his forehead for a few seconds before falling onto the book he was reading. Steve is at a disbelief and is quiet for a few seconds, staring at Eddie right infront of him til he finally says, "did you just throw cheese at me?"

"I wanted to see how you'd react." Was all Eddie said with a straight face.

Ever since then, they've had this on going war of who can catch the other off guard the most, which ended up in several clever ways of them trying to throw cheese at each other. Like one time when Steve once dropped a slice while Eddie was taking a shower, or when Eddie hid in the backseat of Steve's car to get him when he was about to go to work.

steve is famous in the ice skating community after winning who knows how many championships. at first he liked all the attention and spotlight but soon found it exhausting as the expectations for him grew higher and higher with every win he aquired. then this video of eddie comes in, recreating one of steve's best pieces to perfection, and he takes one good look at him and packs his bags.

it's to eddie's surprise that all time champion steve harrington is at his local ice rink the next day claiming to be his coach for the upcoming season.

steve sees eddie skate on the rink for their first conpetition and instantly falls in love. like he suddenly realized why he so desperately wanted to coach him even go so far as to travel who knows where. every turn and movie eddie does completely enraptures the audience and steve couldn't be any prouder.

Once eddie is done he finds steve waiting for him just outside of the rink with open arms.

dustin can be yuri plisetsky which if you look at it kinda fits atleast imo.

now dont imagine steve cradling robin in his arms on the ground as shes slowly bleeding out, just as dustin did with eddie. hes panicking cuz of how much blood shes losing and utterly terrified that his best friend might die in his arms right now he asks

"are you okay?"

with his voice shaking. and robin, basically running on adrenaline at this point, lets out a strained laugh amd barely manages to let out

"ask me tomorrow?"

and steve just BREAKS, violently sobbing, holding onto her cuz he doesn't know if she'll even make it to tomorrow. he leans into her holding her tight as he can feel her heartbeat slowly start to fade. now hes hanging onto her body for dear life and noone can pry him away cuz he doesn't want to leave her all alone in this place.
