I just celebrated my birthday a few weeks ago and retrospectively, when looking at how I view growing up when I was younger vs now... I should have been a little less eager to grow up 🤣

If you're in this position right now, know that you're not alone, we've all gone through rejection. Interviews are full of variances and biases. Don't let them get you down, you are capable regardless of how many interviews you fail 💖

I often fall into the trap of feeling like I‘m not doing enough. Society, especially in the Bay Area, loves to commend those who push themselves to the limit. So I’m never satisfied until I’m doing so much that I’m constantly anxious. If you feel like this too, you’re doing enough ❤️

This year, I'm incredibly thankful for the friends who are there to support each other ✨. With this group of badass ladies, I always know who I can turn to when I'm having a bad day. We're openly vulnerable and we lift each other up when someone's feeling down. 💖Love y'all 😊

Somehow, I always start at self doubt despite how many times I’ve gone through this cycle. 🤷‍♀️

It’s a trap 😱

Being in tech can feel so overwhelming. There is this unspoken expectation to be a "rockstar" coder, to be constantly learning, up to date with tech, have side projects and contribute to open source. This expectation can destroy confidence and lead to a negative internal dialog 😒
